Dick Johnson ... really? We had a guy named Dick Johnson? That's awesome.

I recently saw an Attorneys letterhead and one of the listed partners was a guy named Bob Morecock ... I kid you not.

Shocking that Frank has immediately turned from a guy who provided us with a huge advantage over other teams, to a guy who was holding us back.

What I did find utterly insane is the way some here were pumping him up like the second coming - after reading the "frank has been hired" threads, you'd have thought the NCAA tourney shouldn't even be played and that we should just be given the trophy.

Au contraire, I was here and read through the insanity that was written.

Use the search feature. The things that were being said were ridiculous.

I'm not taking a swipe at Frank, only at the expectations of our fan base.

Interesting that you would take my comment otherwise.

This was not directed at you Tiger2000...it was in response to CUSA's comment. Sorry you misunderstood.

RE: Frank Matrisciano has been relieved of duties at Memphis
No trainer on earth could beef four guards (2 barely 6' and two 6'3") up enough to not get pushed around.

This is the lineup Pastner prefers for the full 2nd half. Poor Frank didnt have a chance.

You agree, Tanya??

Source within athletic dept says Matrisciano was relieved of his duties by CJP due to philosophical differences in strength & conditioning.

Maybe somebody should have checked that out before hiring him

Any problem with the team's conditioning would have surfaced earlier than midseason I woud think.

I don't know what to make of it.

Maybe, the Cincy game helped exposed the fact that our players are not physically strong enoigh to compete night-in & night-out in the AAC. A course correction was needed

Just seems that should have been very evident long before the Cincy game.

He's also a Pastner clone about the positive attitude stuff, from what I gather, so it seemed like a good fit for a Josh-coached team (positive vibes, another method to get the best players by conditioning them better than others.) He seems like a nice guy, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I wish him well.

Blake Griffin has been his poster boy for quite a while now. Any updates to his portfolio?

Tanya, your sarcasm is almost as good as mines.

Josh is just seeking to place blame elsewhere. Look up "small ball" and any document you find will state playing small means you lose strength.

Austin is still a fresh so of course he's adjusting. Pastner should play Pellom, Shaq, and Austin together some if he's upset about being pushed around but instead he prefers 4Gs. Frank probably called him on the use of smaller players and judging by Josh's latest interview and how irritated he was by the questions asked, he's not too fund of being questioned on small ball.
