As long as Louisville administration is willing to give Petrino a chance at redemption, I don't see how there is a better pick out there.

RE: official strong to Texas.
A big difference today, Charlie Strong is being rewarded a major Coaching opportunity that very few Men have earned. This will only be the 2nd Head Coaching position of His Long Career. Thank You for 4 great Years. Hope You can retire there.
That said Bobby Petrino has been a Head Coach now 4 times. He will move up Somewhere again probably this season. At His age, like Charlie the next Head Coaching position will probably be His last. He made a few mistakes with His personal decisions and now looks back and wonders how things slipped away. That is from success that comes quickly in life. You get knocked down and suffer. Soon You realize your errors and look in the Mirror and begin to change Your ways. I think Bobby has reached this point in Life that given another chance to Coach at a place that gave Him His first shot the He would make the most of it andprosper there. He would still have a lot of making up to do in the Louisville community and with Tom Jurich before hand but it could work.
I feel Tom will meet with all prospects this week and choose the right Guy within the Week.

Calipari hasn't been caught knowing about the recruiting issues. And he hasn't done what Petrino and Pitino have done.

I don't want Calipari back, either. Not sure I'm in the majority on that, but that's how I feel.

I know one thing, as an Atlanta Falcon fan. Arthur Blank wouldn't take Petrino back under ANY circumstances, even if Petrino agreed to coach for free. Some things besides just wins should count in most situations.

Honestly not trolling UofL fans. JMO.
Screw Arthur Blank and the Atlanta Falcons. No one ever mentions that Petrino was told that he could not finish the season with the falcons, since he told his boss he was going to the Hawgs. He also took the job because Vick was suppose to be there not in prison.

Hell,I wish we didn't have to fire him. But their simply wasn't away around the scandal and to many law suits would have happened if he would have stayed.

Boo hoo. You're rewriting history. At the time, the media reported that Petrino told Blank a day or two before the Arkansas job was announced, that he was staying with the Falcons.

And however you slice it, Petrino still quit in the middle of the season. You want to argue that point?

But completely ignore the fact he already ditched you once and got fired from his last job for giving a job to a chick he was banging? I'm sorry but as much as your fan base preaches about how much class you all have and how you do things the right way it's pretty darn funny.

As a WVU fan with RichRod you should know as well these coaches for the most part are hired guns...it is a job to them...nothing more...nothing less...Look at this past year with coaches like Bielema leaving Wisconsin for Arkansas or Sark leaving Washington for USC.

Myself, if a coach stay 4 years that is the average and is fine by me....just hire the next coach to win...it is what it is...07-coffee3

Oh I know darn well how it goes for these coaches. I'm just talking about how your fans are literally begging for the biggest scumbag in college football to come back to you when a large majority of your fan base rides around on their high horses preaching about your integrity and class.

Ok...but as for biggest scumbag...Lane Kiffin might take issue with that...myself, i see what those guys are...never get emotional ties with these guys...their jobs is to stay in good standing with NCAA policies and win games.

Petrino- Cheating on wife with VB player he gave a job to

Kiffin- Egomaniac who didn't cheat on his wife

I give the "class" edge to Kiffin.

But I'd give a few class points back to Petrino because he was at least good at something

Certainly not driving a motorcycle while drinking.
Certainly not getting away with an affair.

I like Bobby. I think he is a good coach and the kids he coaches love him.

I think we can all forgive a man's transgressions if they are fulfilling an important task elsewhere.
