The Louisville list is the following:
Bobby Petrino Head Coach Western Kentucky
Chad Morris Offensive Coordinator Clemson
Derek Mason Defensive Coordinator Stanford
Jim McElwaine Head Coach Colorado State
Pat Narduzzi Defensive Coordinator Michigan State
David Cutcliffe Head Coach Duke...doubtful he would leave for another ACC job.

Check out the UL boards, they are literally begging for BP back and making excuses for him. Comedy gold.

He was 41-9 at Louisville with a BCS Bowl win...he won 10 and 11 games at Arkansas with appearances in the Cotton Bowl and Sugar Bowl...best candidate out there if you want to win.

Miami would lose a bidding war with Louisville...07-coffee3

But completely ignore the fact he already ditched you once and got fired from his last job for giving a job to a chick he was banging? I'm sorry but as much as your fan base preaches about how much class you all have and how you do things the right way it's pretty darn funny.

As a WVU fan with RichRod you should know as well these coaches for the most part are hired guns...it is a job to them...nothing more...nothing less...Look at this past year with coaches like Bielema leaving Wisconsin for Arkansas or Sark leaving Washington for USC.

Myself, if a coach stay 4 years that is the average and is fine by me....just hire the next coach to win...it is what it is...07-coffee3

True.

However he hasn't stayed anywhere long and immediately after he leaves the program goes to absolute crap.

We might find out. I could easily see both teams being interested in Chad Morris. Not sure Miami would go for any of the defensive guys, though.

Oh I know darn well how it goes for these coaches. I'm just talking about how your fans are literally begging for the biggest scumbag in college football to come back to you when a large majority of your fan base rides around on their high horses preaching about your integrity and class.

Ok...but as for biggest scumbag...Lane Kiffin might take issue with that...myself, i see what those guys are...never get emotional ties with these guys...their jobs is to stay in good standing with NCAA policies and win games.

Only because it leaked he met with Auburn before could get rid of Turbeville, and didn't get the jobs at Florida, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and LSU he tried to get.

Again, if he stay four years and leaves...fine...don't expect him or any coach to stay here any longer then that...it about getting the best coach available...period.

Ok so you don't care that he's a total POS and already burnt you guys once? Have some pride man. I really expected more out of your fans.

Back on topic I think Smart or Morris would be a great hire for you guys.

As long as he stay in compliance with the NCAA in regards to rules and the APR and wins near his previous rate all the truly matters...but I am comfortable with Smart, Narduzzi, Morris and Derek Mason as well...

I don't understand Louisville fans' obsession with Petrino. Is winning the ONLY thing that counts for representing a university? You already have a BB coach who got away with a personal scandal b/c he could win games.

I know one thing, as an Atlanta Falcon fan. Arthur Blank wouldn't take Petrino back under ANY circumstances, even if Petrino agreed to coach for free. Some things besides just wins should count in most situations.

Honestly not trolling UofL fans. JMO.

Screw Arthur Blank and the Atlanta Falcons. No one ever mentions that Petrino was told that he could not finish the season with the falcons, since he told his boss he was going to the Hawgs. He also took the job because Vick was suppose to be there not in prison.

Hell,I wish we didn't have to fire him. But their simply wasn't away around the scandal and to many law suits would have happened if he would have stayed.

Retread. How many recruiting battles is that dirty old man going to win now, against the upper tier ACC and SEC programs?

To assume that Petrino of 2014 is the equal to Petrino of 2004 is quite simply nostalgia run amok.

Ask UTEP fans about Mike Price.

I doubt you'll get the mileage you're hoping for. Hide your wives and daughters

Are there really so few excellent coaches interested in UL?

1. Petrino is:was never a recruiter...he recruited to his system...not really an issue.

2. Not a retread, still an active winning coach at the FBS Level. We would be just gone to get the Petrino of 2010/2011...the Coach that had Arkansas head to head with LSU and Alabsma.

3. Mike Price never took two different schools to the Gator Bowl, Orange Bowl, Cotton Bowl and Sugar Bowl.

4. Name me 3 available Head Coaches either better resume and he is the exact same age as Charlie Strong...53 years old.

But UofL could go after Tony Levine....he does have ties to UofL ....07-coffee3

I think Petrino would be a good fit for Louisville. Louisville 2014 isn't Louisville 2004 either. Louisville is a much better job now. As a member of the ACC, Louisville can play for a National Championship. They are in a conference with good recruiting grounds and great exposure up and down the East coast.

I think Petrino has learned that the grass isn't always greener. With the advantages he would have at today's Louisville, vs the one he coached at before, I think at his age he would be ready to settle in and stay awhile.
