That's awesome if it happens, will definitely add to the championship game atmosphere!

Our band did make it, but only half due to money constraints so we will have around 150ish I believe. The seniors/juniors got to travel out.

I hope it's the 1/2 with the instruments...

I will be there. Will this game even be mentioned on Gameday? It is on an ESPN channel so that gives me a little hope.

Ran 5 miles at 8 AM - 36 F. Really not bad.

Getting ready for the game - Dress warm, but it feels like it'll be OK if you're in layers. (Granted, we won't be exercising other than standing and yelling).

If you're on the fence, dress warm and go. As long as you're dressed appropriately it should be just fine.

Couple of keys for Rice in C-USA title game:
1. Avoid early stampede: Marshall has outscored opponents 87-10 in first quarter last 4 games

Joseph Duarte‏@Chronicle_Owls7m
2. Avoid costly turnovers: Rice has committed six turnovers (leading to 34 points) in last four games, including two last week vs. Tulane

Yeah, I don't like our chances if we are down 87-10 at the end of the 1Q.

37 degrees and a light, intermittent rain outside the stadium now. A very noticeable breeze keeps it definitely uncomfortable.
I've got so many layers on I look like Bif the Michelin Man.
But no way am I missing the chance to see this game in person.
Go Owls!

What an adorable little Rice fan!

It's always good to have multiple Rice clothing options. :)

Postscript - It was a heckuva lot colder in the stadium than it was running. On the other hand, standing up for most of the game helped a lot as well

No, I believe it was not mentioned at all. Shows you our place in ESPN's view of the college football world. They have a 3-hour college preview show on a day with a limited schedule and they can't even spend 10 seconds mentioning a conference championship game that starts on one of their own channels at the ending-time of their show.

Did anyone try the Hot Cocoa offered by the Kona Ice truck? The announcers had an interesting time trying to wrap their minds around that one during the 4th quarter.

It was better and faster (short line!) than at the various concourse concession stands. 04-cheers And announcers having a problem understanding unconventional wisdom? Say it isn't so! 05-stirthepot

They were having a problem with a Shave Ice stand serving something hot. Because Ice and Hot don't work together. Apparently they've never really looked at their own kitchen.
