How about Rice?

Rice cares more about UH than anyone else. They also value games against Texas A&M. Relations between both fanbases are rather cordial.

I am glad that we're playing Rice more frequently again. It's a good game for both schools.

Rice just scared the piss out of you in basketball this season. That tells me either one of two things are true:

1. Rice is getting better, and might crack .500 on the year. They've been putrid lately. Aggy just fell asleep a bit and got caught napping early on.

2. Texas A&M basketball is in some SERIOUS trouble.

Lol clearly you're not familiar with how comically bad the A&M basketball program is.

I would like to see the Oklahoma/Nebraska rivalry renewed in football.

I would like to see a rivalry built up between Indiana and Kansas for basketball.

You read my mind. I would also like Kentucky and Indiana in basketball.

LOL...a Umass fan dissing either BC or Uconn. Let's see - Umass to date since moving up to FBS:

2012 W-L: 1-11...Ave. Attendance: 10,902
2013: W-L (to date): 1-9 Average Attendance: 15,830 (good move inviting all those HS bands for that one game; probably helped you guys just squeeze over the minimum 15,000 requirement this year). I guess a UMass FB fan would know better than anyone about "smaller audiences."

Look, as a Massachusetts native, I hope my state school is able to clear the hurdles and be successful at the FBS level. That said, IMO, as a Umass fan, your commenting or critiquing other programs' "audiences" makes you look just silly.

I never was talking about UMass selling Gillette like the Pats. I was just saying BC and UConn should probably be playing football together. The games would sell out.

The game was the Irish's biggest game from the 1910's to the mid 1940's.

It is a travesty that both institutions stopped playing each other on a regular basis.

Knute Rockne would be very displeased by the rivalry's stoppage.

Don't tell that to the many misinformed people who think ND and Army still play each other often..........

If that never happens, I'm happy in the AAC (#6 in FB and #3 in BB as of right now) although there is no natural rival for UConn.

Boston College is the perfect rival for UConn. Trouble is, they hate each other TOO MUCH to play.

3 of those teams are ACC; none of them are Big XII. Time for Kansas to the ACC rumors maybe?

(it's been a little slow lately)

Like when Texas and Oklahoma finish playing everybody says the Wes Mantooth "I hate you but Goddamnit do I respect you" in the parking lot. No the only difference is both teams aren't too petty to refuse to play other. And the smaller audience, but it it would be a bigger audience than either team usually gets.

UConn is not "too petty" to play BC. UConn would like an annual series with BC. UConn would probably offer to play BC annually in BB to get a FB series.

The game would be an automatic sell out as a home game for both teams, or they would sell a lot of tickets at Gillette (selling out Gillette would be difficult). Travel expenses would be minimal.

It will happen in 50 or 100 years, if college football is still being played then. I'm 51 and I don't think I'll ever see UConn & BC play in my lifetime.

No. 1 with a bullet for Clemson would be without a doubt Clemson vs. Georgia. After that, I wouldn't mind seeing Clemson/Auburn - the games we recently played were all exciting. Another couple I would like to see are Clemson/Tennessee and Clemson/Va. Tech.

What do you guys think about these (looking for similar institutions that could play a close game vs. each other):

Tulane - Wake Forest
USC - Miami (FL)
Virginia - Maryland (restart)
ECU - South Carolina
Clemson - Auburn
Cincinnati - Purdue
Arizona - Nevada
Nebraska - Oklahoma (restart)

It's a good idea. Clemson and Auburn have played many times and would be natural rivals. Wake Forest already has established that game with Vanderbilt. Tulane should be added to both Vanderbilt's and Wake's schedule, and possibly Duke's. South Carolina has played E.C.U. fairly often. So the ground work is there.

Very true. We should call the other team the Cocks. It's kind of like when people refer to UNC as UNC-CH. There are other schools in the UNC system, but outside of the students no cares about them.
