I've been listening to a lot of Tom Petty lately. Some by him, and some amazing tributes by others. Miley Cyrus did a great rendition of Wildflowers on The Tonight Show, but I think this is the best tribute by someone else I've seen so far. Lady Antebellum actually closed their show with this stunning version of Learning To Fly. Major props for ending the show in such a moving way.

Thanks for posting that. Tom Petty was a "Top 5'er" for me. That was a beautiful tribute.

After listening back a couple of pages or so I kept thinking of this song. This is Sevendust - Angel's Son. I love this riff and by the way I am 35...

I loved that Shakey Graves from stinkfist earlier. Especially that built to roam. Very nice.

The new stuff that I posted was more of the indulgent style of music that I like. Sound that completely encompasses you. Along with rhythm and bass it's my favorite kind. Here is my next contribution, Ben Howard - Only Love. Not quite acoustic but you'll see.

HOPEFULLY it gets back to good Wu Tang.... In doing a highlights of the group albums over on the Sports Bar Music Thread I realized how lacking of jams their recent content have been.

Oh hell yeah APC, me too. After a short introduction to Tool I really got into APC. I heard Mer de Noms when it came out in 2000 which was my High School graduation year. Orestes makes me think of that night. MM was a great year for me and Mer de Noms was there with me. Though one of my favs has to be Pet.

LOL I'm not sure if you're talking about that drummer or just of a younger time, if you are then I'd agree with the creepiness but anyway if you like that then check this one out, covering my first tool fav, forty six & 2

Or this one of a more recent fav to me, parabola
