Just glad to see my owls on the upswing.

I know you guys are probably tired of hearing this, but FAU is a lot better than their record shows. If your team wasn't a turnover machine like they were in the Rice and MTSU game then they would easily be 4-2 right now and pretty much be guaranteed to going to a bowl game. You guys still have a legitimate chance of going 6-6 overall as I think you will blow our the last 3 teams on your schedule and you just need to pick up a win from Tulane or Marshall at home, though that will be difficult.

It's 4. 4 out of 5, but that's almost as many as your team won the entire year, last year and that didn't stop any Marshall fan from hyping the hell out of them this preseason or still going with it even after you lose to one of the same teams you did last year that you said you'd beat to show improvements. The only thing you've really shown so far is you have a weaker schedule this year.

I think you guys can probably give them a good game. We've already got through 2 of the tougher test in the East. Marshall's MO has been to stumble to a team like UAB and they have already lost to a team they were expecting to beat this year. I do think they will drop a game to someone in CUSA like FAU, MTSU, Tulsa etc.

If ECU finished 5-6 last season I think I would just keep quiet especially with no Cusa Championships or East Divisions to show in its history in Cusa. Cusa games and Championships (Divisions, too)are won on field of play and not words of print.

We know, we know... you post the same thing in most threads involving Marshall.

I call out the Marshall fans for acting like jackasses, but your broken record routine is just as bad.

What exactly are you bragging about? A win over Gardner Webb, Miami Oh and UTSA and skewed unit rankings? Gezz. If that's all we had done and even lost to Ohio coming off a 5-7(4-4) season I'd STFU. You didn't see me running my mouth last year about how great we were all preseason or 5 games into the year.

Just don't win it this year....next year will be fine to win the East and CUSA Championship.

RE: My CUSA Rankings
Sagarin has ECU at 55 and Marshall at 57, but our predictor is 2 points higher which means we would be a 5 point favorite if we played next Saturday.

You guys keep bagging on our loss to Ohio. It happened, but you know we handed it to them. You also ignore the fact that many of the polls you talk about rank Ohio as much as 30 spots in front of UNC. You are actually bragging about a win over a 1-4 team and putting down our loss to a 4-1 team. We dominated OU, out gained them by 150 yards. We lost due to our own mistakes, ones we haven't made since.

You're good, we're better. Live with it.

That's only 1 of 6 BCS computers bud. Look at the rest or the composite rankings and it's not even close. And no you are not better and to say you are based on the body of work you have not only this year but last year with many of these same key players is completely delusional. We had the better season last year, we are having the better season this year. Those are the facts. Carden is 8-0 vs teams on this board including yours.

Dominated might be a bit of a stretch for a game you never had the lead in and never tied after it was 7-7. But, I agree with the part about Ohio being really good.

RE: My CUSA Rankings
It's still early in the season and computer rankings are still weak at this point, however, between ECU and Marshall, the only common opponent so far has been VT. Both ECU and Marshall lost to VT yet ECU lost in regulation at home and Marshall took VT to 3 OT's at VT before losing. I realize you can't always compare common opponents but nevertheless, I'd have to give the edge to Marshall at the moment. A couple more weeks will really begin to show us all how all of our teams really are shaking out.

RE: My CUSA Rankings
#1 Sagarin's rankings are ridicioulous. We are 4-1 vs the #80 schedule according to him and you are 3-2 vs the #145 one. No clue how that puts you 2 spots behind us LOL

The other BCS computers.....

Massey
#38 ECU
#65 Marshall

Coley Matrix
#29 ECU
#65 Marshall

Bingsley
#56 ECU
#87 Marshall

Anderson and Hester
#39 ECU
#81 Marshall

That's all the other BCS computers ranking so far. Most other computers not in the BCS look about the same. So keep your $hitty illogical Sagarin ratings because everybody else in the world says it's not even close.

First downs
Marshall 28, OU 19

Yards
Marshall 482, OU 335

Passing Yards
Marshall 366, 8.1 per attempt
OU 275, 7.1 per attempt

Rushing yards
Marshall 116, 3.4 per attempt
OU 60, 1.7 per attempt

Turnovers
Marshall 4, OU 0

Dominated, handed it to you. Because of our self inflicted wounds you had scoring "drives" of 53, 18, zero, and 21 yards. Those 4 short "drives" got you 20 of your 34 points. I'll give you credit for the 53 yarder because we didn't actually hand it to you already in scoring position. Even with that, it should have been at least a 10 point win if we hadn't gift wrapped it.

While you all are having a p*ssing match about who is better, ECU or Marshall ... can I just say Tulane is 4-2 and 2-0 in CUSA.

The only difference I see is ECU being unbeaten on the road thus far and I would not make much of it. I give ECU a slight nod for this...but...only a very slight nod. Marshall has a fine team that is capable of beating the snot out of us IMO if we fail to execute.
