We (Georgia Southern) aren't FCS anymore, we are FBS (transitional, I know). We need to recognize this and start acting like it. IMO, threads like this are not accomplishing that goal.

While all the other High School guys are focused on their football teams and their High School football rivals, some of the Freshmen are stilled focused on how great their Junior High team is/was and how their Junior High rivals are faring. I keep responding because the posters in this thread are being hypocrits. It's OK when "one of your own" starts a thread that is exactly the same thing. But when one of the "newbies" does it it's because we have small johnsons, or we are stuck in eighth grade, or we are trying to stir the pot, or whatever BS excuse you guys want to throw out there.

Are y'all having delusions of grandeur or something? I already explained my intentions clearly enough for anyone to understand. I have no reason to lie about what my thread was intended for. It was submitted in good faith. There is a double standard here for anyone to see.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that once we are established in FBS, it won't bother me one bit to say that some FCS teams are better than FBS teams. Reality just doesn't really bother me. I feel no need to spin or mask the truth. It is what it is. NDSU would win the SBC because they are a great team.

By the way, I still enjoy supporting my elementary, junior high, high school and college teams (and the academic part too). Payback is hell but I enjoy it.

And sure enough, it turned out to be a tremendous game and the entire national media was discussing it.

And every board had a thread on the game by the 4th quarter because it was a great college football game. I doubt any of the mods on those boards locked those threads for being off topic.

For starters, there are plenty of nationally televised games every week that have zero relevance to this board, so that argument holds no water.

The CUSA thread was started when the game was nearly wrapped because it was an upset in progress thread, not before it started because it was an "interesting" storyline. Furthermore, the CUSA board does not have an OT board.

A FCS game, unless it involves a future member of this conference or perhaps even a potential future member(which by my estimation NDSU does not fit either of those), has no place on the main board here, unless it's an upset in progress thread and the NDSU game was not an upset in progress when the thread was started.

I have said not on word about and FCS Championships. My thread was about upsets by FCS teams and the arguably narrowing gap between them and FBS. That was all. Do you read or think before you try to talk down to people. I don't need your assurances. If no one is interested in a thread it will die. But no, you have to take on yourself to decide who is interested in what. Apparently all it takes is someone who roots for a SB school to get his nose out joint and Bam! Doesn't seem to matter how nasty they are either. Other posters are allowed a lot of liberty on this board with the rules but not anyone who happens to be a GS fan. That is the agenda I am speaking of. It seems as we have to always be reminded that some other GS poster said something stupid and we have a small football mentality because we were FBS and therefore are unworthy.
