That. Tenny has some serious debt in the athletic department that will hinder Butch getting anything done. If he can weather that, that's great. Pigfan needs to check themselves. Bielema will be fine, too. If silly expectations don't get him first.

The guy has a medical condition that is not ideal for the high stress position of being a coach for an underdog big ten football program. Its up to him if he wants to keep coaching but I am just not sure it is the best thing gor his health.
same with urban meyer. What was the deal with his health?
And didn't mark dantonio recently have a heart attack?
On other notes, mike leach, charlie weis, and hawaii's coach norm chow all seem over their heads.
You may have missed the meaning of "over their heads". Chow, I can agree with. Never have been high on him. Leach? Weis? You see what they have had to dig out of? At least Wazzu cares with their facility upgrades. Weis just got blessed with Turner Gill's laughably bad recruiting classes to build from.

Army: Rich Ellerson
Buffalo: Jeff Quinn
Eastern Michigan: Ron English
Illinois: Tim Beckman
Miami-OH: Don Treadwell

UConn: Paul Pasqualoni
UNLV: Bobby Hauck
I don't think Ellerson is in over his head such much as an inability to compete. It's hard to recruit talent when you're major selling point is that upon graduation you'll spent the next 5 years of your life embroiled in the modern day equivalent of Vietnam.
The other thing is that West Point really doesn't place a lot of emphasis on winning as they do in putting out officers. Maybe the new Supe they have (I think a new one came in) will think of the program as more than an afterthought. Air Force is a mess these days, too. Looking at their forum, it's looking like Troy Calhoun's seat is quite hot. Rumblings of D1-AA being a better fit and how nothing has really moved upwards since Fisher DeBerry's recruits moved on.

True enough. Gus is doing about as well as one can realistically expect. If anyone has read up on the country club atmosphere that was "Allbarn" when Cam and Co. rolled on in, bowl eligibility this soon is a near miracle.
Anyway, I guess the point of the thread was "Who inherited the keys to a Ferrari and wrecked it?" rather than "Who inherited a 1989 Yugo and failed to turn it into a Mercedes?"
Lane Kiffin?
Cal probably doesn't have much of an excuse to be so-so, either. Minny is the big school up there, so them, too. If NDSU lets them.
