But how many 1000's (millions?) has eATMe generated from him? Not to mention the autograph dealers? This week's sports ill had a long article on this that was pretty balanced. He is 20 yrs old (with a bit or a lot of cockiness) and how many would handle this any different-look at the beibers and lohans of the world-not too many can do so

How many would "handle this any different[ly]"? If by "this" you mean the decision of whether or not to comply with an explicit, well-known, and easily understood rule that is hammered into you from the first day you sign as a scholarship athlete, the answer is: almost everyone.

(Admit I borrowed this from a buddy of mine.)

Except that when Hancock signed his document, he was not collecting his fortune, he was risking it -- along with, as the document says, his life and his sacred honor.

Personally I am kind of surprised that the UT students who hacked the GPS code to the yacht haven't hacked A&M's student records and posted what kind of online courses Johnny is taking. I think it would be pretty interesting to see what work he is actually doing to stay eligible.

Exactly. Whether or not you agree with the rules and how the NCAA works, you know that you have to comply with the rules, or risk severe consequences.

Is RG III handling the spotlight well? I don't follow the news about him.

I have to believe that would be true with Johnny Football too.

Yeah, I feel a lot of this is on Sumlin.

There were zero consequences to his assault and arrest last summer.

This spring he's allowed to do his own thing, taking only online courses.

I'm sure we will see Johnny Cash taking this field against Rice. I mean, Sumlin managed to get 6 years of eligibility for Keenum - think something like this will stop him? 05-stirthepot

I honesty think A&M is ripe for an upset because of Johnny Football. Even if he skates on the autographs he is one drunken weekend away from pulling a stunt that the A&M Administration can't ignore.

Unfortunately, it appears Manziel isn't just an immature kid making some minor errors in judgement.
There's quite a bit more information out there pertaining to his character and mental health that is better left unsaid.

"I thought the girl admitted it wasn't him."

I wonder how many claims of "Come home with me for the night; I am Johnny football" are spoken in the bars of the State of Texas, on any given night.

A starting A$M Defensive Lineman was suspended for Rice game for pulling a pistol during the offseason, but no decision made on Johnny.

Lets see who gets the QB Reps the next couple-three weeks.
