The Bengals' media machine is cranking up right now and will consume pages of the daily paper and every sponsored moment of air time in this town.
Let's hope UC gets creative with special promotions for some upcoming home games with lesser known opponents. How long must we wait for Tommy T bobbleheads?
I went on the site yesterday to buy tickets and I think we can say its a sellout. There are open single seats here and there. When that happens for the Reds, they call it a sellout.
They opened up a couple sections in the upper deck that were previously blocked out. The lower sections are mostly up-for-sale, but I'd still say the number of seats available is in the hundreds.
It doesn't appear that tickets are flying out the door, but it should be a sell out.
I think compared to years past the tickets flew out the door. To only have a few hundred remaining 28 days before kickoff shows just how far this program has come. Now we worry about getting a ticket where years ago there still would be 20000 on the day of the game.

I think some of you guys are making some assumptions about how close we are to a sellout that aren't right. I'm not saying it won't happen, but there are probably blocks of seats being held aside for season ticket sales, etc. If we were a couple hundred seats away from a sellout, you'd be hearing about it, as in "only a few left, hurry up and get yours today!"
Just keep talking to people about the great team and season we're going to have, and get people thinking about getting on board the train.

Exactly. You cannot tell how many are left by checking online. There are likely a lot of tickets that just haven't been released for sale yet. Could still be several thousand.

I'm guessing the athletic office has a good idea by now what the demand for season tickets and package deals will be. Yes, some seats will be held back for future sales, but less than a month before the season starts, I'm betting there aren't too many held in reserve.
