Two Questions Wolo Should Have Asked Post Game
Maybe I missed it, but would have liked Wolo to ask Josh about the technical & to ask Chris about throwing the ball off the guy's back. That was a big play down the stretch IMO. Instead he lets Josh ramble about USM being a good team well coached, we're everyone's Super Bowl, Masters, World Series, Daytona 500, World Cup Final, etc etc. Would like to see him talk more basketball & less of that stuff. I can't believe that Bowen or someone won't take him aside & give him some advice.

That is all I am asking, just talk about basketball. His shtick is wearing thin. So much basketball to talk about, why not do it?

Maybe he learned it from Calipari because that's pretty much the same stuff Cal was saying and I don't remember much complaints about his shtick back then

That's true. Calipari was constantly in salesman mode and everyone ate it up. Now, it wears thin.

If you had been there yesterday, you would have known why he said it. It really was their super bowl. It was loud and the atmosphere was electric. Instead of complaining about what Pastner said you would have been complimenting the team on winning.

When you cry wolf all the time and then the wolf actually shows up, you get eaten.

Well, I said the same thing about Cal. That was one of the things I was hoping was different about Josh. With Cal, I always felt he wasn't sure what the problems were, once he figured it out he would address the issue. Before he made Tyreke PG for instance, he used the same lines over and over about hussle and energy. When he switched to Tyreke and things looked better he was all over moving Tyreke. Basically you use energy/hussle/other teams when you can't come up with a solution to problems.
Josh has spent most of his life focused on basketball, I am willing to bet he could spend 48 straight hours talking about basketball. It is such a simple change, he can easily spend 10 minutes in the post game show talking basketball.
At the same time, last night was a perfect example of when he should be saying "this is a really good team, with really good players, and a really good coach." It was true last night, but because he uses it on every single team we play it had no effect.

"Obviously, Houston gave us a game. (The Cougars) could have, should have beaten us they played so well." — John Calipari
"I think you're all stunned when they say that we haven't watched any tape. Does that stun you? I don't want them to worry about Bradley. ... You worry about us." — John Calipari
"You take your team - east, west, north, south - because I want my team" — John Calipari
"What I'm seeing now, is what I saw at [Massachusetts], it's like the machine is up and running now. But it's taken six years. At Mass, it took me five." — John Calipari
"How 'bout that. We're chasing greatness." — John Calipari
"All of a sudden our schedule stinks, even though we've played these other tough games." — John Calipari
"Now everybody understands the importance of Darius Washington with this team. It's his energy as much as anything else, his ability to get up and down the court and score baskets when we need some baskets to be scored."
