LOL
They are good now. After they bolted it up to the other cross members everything straightened out.
I just found it interesting since all the others that I saw installed were straight immediately. That one just needed some motivating.

I would think that merging the barn with the Yordon would be the hard part.
Though nothing is able to come together without the foundation being 100% correct!

It's looking like the brick is going to match the Yordon Centers. May we actually have some symmetry in buildings?
Those buildings in the back of it are bad. What are those?

The Yordon Center uses actual bricks. These are molded precast walls. Not sure how well they'll match?

Step back my friend. Yordon walls are precast with Brick facing exteriors also. No differance between the two materials. I watched that one go up piece by piece as weli, and no actual bricklayers were employed.

The dark brown and light brown building is Douglas which is a dorm. It has a twin which is named Lincoln.
Lincoln was scheduled for demolition fall 2013 (because they are ugly) and we have 2 fully gutted dorms reopening that Semester. Now the demo plan is on hold because the applications to NIU drastically increased the past few months. This demo may be held off now until Grant South (another dorm) is renovated in 2014-2015.
Both of these should be gone by 2020.

Hearty congrats on your engagement! Trust me, if you found the right lady, you will never be sorry.
I am an online ordained minister, and I would be happy to do your wedding. However, you will need to set up an appointment to come to my private office for pre-nuptial counseling. It could get slightly uncomfortable as I like to get into intimate details, but I guarantee that you will learn something from my wise counseling.
The only thing I must mention is that I do not like to perform services in the elements, so you will need to somehow get rid of that snow and ice in the CPC.
I'll pass that along to the boss lady and see if she bites...

I thought you conducted your services at the Grotto? Are you opening branch offices?

My private office is in the Grotto. Booth 2. However, sometimes it gets crowded in there when lots of folks demand my services. My advice is to get there early because it's first come first served.

Did that Toledo clownfraud insult the aesthetic qualities of Douglas Hall? And I didn't think the Toledo fan base could get lower in my esteem! Casting aspersions on the old beige lady will not be tolerated... I don't care if he's right.

Hey, Lincoln and Douglas were "state of the art" back in the 60's......I enjoyed living in both. Now it's time to move on....bring on the bulldozer.
A new day is dawning....wait a minute, those are lyrics from a 60's song
