That thing is a beast hulking over the Yordon. Hope it looks good from the stands, all depends on the siding material.

Running game and passing game works in the IPF!
Kicking teams work in Huskies Stadium because you would want all kickers getting use to the winds in DeKalb!

Then you can have another squad practice at the outdoor complex? maybe third string?

What do you think?

I totally agree.

The only part of the kicking game that I would bother with practicing inside are fakes and onside kicks.

I doubt we have the coaching resources to have another squad practicing. Is there a limit set by NCAA or the MAC to the number of GA coaches? I wonder what the SEC big boys do?

Whatever they want.

NO! Having an IPF has nothing to do with landing the Bears. It's all about practice space, traffic flow, meeting rooms, etc., headaches, the university doesn't need.

What is the big deal about serving as a training camp facility? You do realize that not one single Division I-A (FBS) school serves as an NFL camp site. If there was such an upside, don't you think schools would be fighting harder to host NFL camps? What did Western Illinois ever gain while serving as the Rams training camp site?

Why would you want to put us on par with St. Norbert, Olivet Nazarene, Minnesota State-Mankato, Saint Vincent College, SUNY-Cortland, St. John Fisher College, Anderson University, Missouri Western State, etc.?

If the Bears were to use the new outdoor complex, the Convo and meeting rooms in Stevenson/New Dorm there would be 0 overlapp with the NIU camp.

It would bring thousands of new visitors to DeKalb...and they will all be amazed that NIU is NOT anywhere close to the Mississippi River. This would help local businesses who would hopefully donate back to NIU.

I'm getting engaged in the next few weeks. Wonder if she will be excited to be the first wedding in the CPC? Chessick can get ordained online and do the ceremony over the p.a. from the coaches perch.

Hearty congrats on your engagement! Trust me, if you found the right lady, you will never be sorry.

I am an online ordained minister, and I would be happy to do your wedding. However, you will need to set up an appointment to come to my private office for pre-nuptial counseling. It could get slightly uncomfortable as I like to get into intimate details, but I guarantee that you will learn something from my wise counseling.

The only thing I must mention is that I do not like to perform services in the elements, so you will need to somehow get rid of that snow and ice in the CPC.

It's looking like the brick is going to match the Yordon Centers. May we actually have some symmetry in buildings? 04-bow

That'll be an interior hallway.

Big red & white panels for the outside

I heard a rumor that construction is stopped so they can add another 40 or so yards to the field. They want Brebant to be able to practice his field goals indoors.

All the way around the bottom will be 10' of brick to match Yordon. It will look fine.
