Yeah I don't think putting us against BC would be beneficial for either team. Hopefully they can find someone in the northeast for BC and a southern one for us.

RE: ACC Winter Meetings tomorrow!
That setup who ever came ip with will not happen. If it did HOW are they coming up with BC as Louisville's cross divison rival??? Under those moves with GT and Louisville swapping they would actually take over those rivals as well with GT taking Louisville's spot via Maryland who played Virginia, and Louisville getting GT's rival in Clemson. So where does BC come into play unless the whole divisional format is completely blown up. Also I don't think the conference as a whole would like both florida destinations in one division. Just saying not hating.

VT got stuck with BC the first time. There is no basis for that being a "rivalry". They were just the last two teams left. If Maryland had been switched with GT which was a likely scenario before. It is probable that BC and Maryland would have been made cross-divisional rivals since that would have been their closest game. So if you want to play the card that you are stepping into UMD's place, that's the schedule they would have likely had.
If change does come and it is driven by the football schools, don't be surprised if Louisville has to strike up a new rivalry with BC to make way for a VT/Clemson, VT/GT or GT/UVA matchup.

Hokie I don't see that happening what so ever. Now do I agree with who you were partnered with as a cross divisional rival no, but from every thing message board wise I have read has stated Louisville/UV due to taking Marylands place to where once we do enter the conference possibly switching. The switch I have read was basically once Louisville enters would be Louisville/Pitt, UV/Cuse, but really what makes better sense would be for Louisville and Virgins Tech be cross divisional rivals with BC/UV being partnered up, but I don't see your scenario playing out.

RE: ACC Winter Meetings tomorrow!
Louisville just got picked up off the scrap heap of the Big East because Maryland left. They aren't going to hold any changes up that are being discussed. Heck they aren't even participating in the conference for another season. I am sure FSU would like GT in their division but there will be obstacles. Louisville's preference won't be one of them.

It isn't my scenario. This is the scenario everyone was discussing. It actually had it's origins on the WVU board before being tweeted and spread around the internet.
There is also about 0% chance that UVA will be rivals with BC.

Simple solution. Swap GT with Louisville. GT assumes UVA as a crossover, Clemson assumes Louisville. Problem solved.
GT gets both Clemson and FSU on it's schedule every year, and UVA keeps an old guard crossover. Everybody wins.

Catdaddy,
I learned this from you, follow the rules:
1) Does it make sense?
2) Can it be done easily?
If the answer to either 1 or 2 is yes, then it CANNOT be done. Sorry, man. It would work, too.

You are right. In fact you've probably already heard the statement "Who says GT wants FSU on the schedule?"
I would say that the Jackets would vote with their wallets, as FSU is a bigger draw in Atlanta than anybody outside of UGA or Clemson.
For all the talk about how many alumni UNC has in Atlanta, they don't draw well when they play there in football, averaging 47k the past four appearances. It's really no surprise, because outside of Tabakky Rd and Charlottesville UNC isn't typically a big road draw anywhere.

I first saw it on a GT board as a link back to the WVU board. Then it started popping up everywhere and has since been debunked most places. Some gossip sources seem to be slow getting the word so they are still reporting it as fact.

I was just harassing you because you referenced a WVU board, nothing more. With all their nonsense, we have to have fun with it.

This would be an acceptable solution for me. I just want to have FSU or Clemson on the schedule every year from that division.....and even as a newbie, I think we can all say it doesn't quiet make sense for UL and UVa or UL and BC to be crossovers. Now as of right now all of the divisional talk are rumors, but if they move us over then Clemson as a crossover, VT, Pitt, and Miami every year works great for me.

I always view the Dude and other "insiders" as the Brain coming up with ridiculous scenarios to take over the world and the WVU fanbase as Pinky just eager and stupid enough to go along with it all.
