Yeah that’s what he was named. But he also went 3-7 in February and March to finish the regular season. That’s prime CJP right there. His teams get worse as the season goes. Off seasons filled with drama, suspensions and players leaving the program. Running off assistant coaches. Insulting fans for questioning his wisdom and abilities. I suspect this will be his last HC spot. He’ll move on to be an assistant and then maybe pop up 10 years later like a Quinn Snyder did. Don’t see him ever being an announcer or on tv. He’s too annoying to listen to.

That team runs good stuff and are well coached.

Listen yellow jacket fans. Bobby Cremins isn’t walking through that door.

Blowouts at the end of the season and the drama of multiple player transfers...why does that sound familiar?

from the gtswarm message board....

I’d like to hear pastner comments on the team right now...does he even care we look like an AAU team on defense right now?

I thought that’s what he prides himself on. He didn’t even seem that upset most of the game about our defense. And please keep Moore on the bench, permanently

Yeah, not sure I ever heard Pastner address defense, no matter how many wide open shots we allowed the other team to take. It was always "we have to make shots." or "we need to play with more energy"...

the lack of defense, and focus on defense was one of the thousands of reasons I never could get onboard with Josh.

Maybe the Memphis fans were right about him...........................................................................................................just sayin'03-wink

I firmly believe basketball is different from football. Any school can have a lot of success in basketball with the right coach. 2 really good players can take a team deep in the NCAA tournament. All you have to do is look at the Penny/Vaughn team to see 2 players can run to the elite 8.

That is also a reason I scoff at the idea of Kennedy (ole miss) is a good coach. He has had more time than almost any other coach to get it together and they still suck.
