bowls per conference
shows the B1G with 9 total bowl plus a 10th if they have a team in the CFP. That would be 10 total slots including the HoD bowl. Right now it does look like 10 will likely be bowl eligible. Do you have a different source that would show 12 slots for the B1G?
I'm using CBS' New Year's Six and Playoff projections. Right now that puts 4 Big Ten teams into those games, with Ohio State in the semis, Michigan in the Rose Bowl, Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl, and Nebraska as an At Large in the Cotton Bowl.
What I did miss was that if the Big 10 gets the Orange Bowl slot, they do not get the Citrus Bowl slot, which is what I was counting as a Big 10 slot in my analysis. Good catch.
What that means is that the ACC would get the Citrus Bowl slot instead of the Big 10, meaning the ACC would have both the St Pete Bowl and Quick Lane Bowl open, and the Big 10 would fill their Quick Lane slot, but would still not fill Heart of Dallas since it's their last bowl to fill. Basically, instead of the Big 10's spot in the Quick Lane being open, the ACC's slot in Quick Lane would be open. Obviously the NY6 bowls have a trickle down effect there.
I'll correct that in next week's.
As a conference, we should be rooting for the Big 10 to fall out of NY6 bowls so that they will fill HoD.
Washington played last year in the HOD. HOD will go after another P5 just like last year

Sure, if there's one available.

The original deal said that the AAC and MAC would play this year. I would suspect that is the case until the trading and negotiating starts with ESPN. Honestly we probably don't need that bowl this year, especially if we pick up Independence or St Pete, which are both better bowls for the opponent and fans.
C-USA site says Bahamas is C-USA vs AAC or MAC. Could certainly be wrong. http://conferenceusa.com/sports/2016/7/1...html.aspx?
