That's pretty good for Tuesday night, though didn't appear to be that many on TV.

Well Troy had nearly 17k in attendance for Thursday night too. Did not really appear to be that many either. imo

RE: UNT Attendance
It really is a bit strange when I see other conference members' midweek numbers, because at MT midweek games usually do pretty well. That said, recently the games usually involve a black out or a rivalry game like Troy or WKU.

I watched the game and it looked like that many. Not sure how many the stadium holds I'm sure over 30,000. With the logic that has been thrown out about market size and increased attendance their numbers should be better. Great game though well past my bedtime. I am surely paying for it.

I thought the crowd was pretty good; they also were loud at times.

Cold and windy and during the middle of midterms with a late kickoff.. not a great recipe for having huge attendance numbers for UNT.

Was shocked at the low turnout from the alumni side more than anything.

I'm going to make a blind assumption since that seems to be MG's way...

Take away the visiting band and fans and you had less than Troy did. I'll argue that ULL brought more fans than WKU since ULL had their band as well. Once again, this is a blind statement that I believe to be true simply b/c I say it is...is that the correct way of looking at this, MG?

Lol. You ALWAYS gotta take a jab at Troy! Always!!!

First off I saw a good many UL people in your stands PLUS ULs band.... We had maybe 10-20 WKU people at our game.

Second your in Dallas area and many of your fans live in the area. Most Troy fans have to travel over 2 hours to get to our game so mid week games army good for us

Third. You had 629 more fans than us. Congrats! Lol

I was impressed with the student turnout.

I was disappointed with the alumni turnout, but you have to remember that they have jobs/kids and the students usually don't. I know a few people who couldn't attend because they couldn't find a babysitter in the middle of the week.

I think we have at least 2k more if the kick was at 7PM.

Not that it matters in your argument but I was at the Troy game and counted 82 WKU fans there before kickoff. Several came in around kickoff so I'd guess 100-125 total. Once again, not that it matters. 04-rock

RE: UNT Attendance
I think before the first half and before school kids and their parents left (it was 10 PM at half time) there were closer to 22,000. It sounded more like there were 44,000 on ESPN2. Yet after 7 losing seasons in a row I'll take whatever the attendance was and know what kinds of crowds we'll have once our win cycle begins again.

Apogee Stadium's architect types did a wonderful job with the accoustics of our stadium.

If 22,000 tickets were sold, then they would've announced at least that, not 17K

it's quite obvious our ticket counting is headscratching. 75% of the stadium was full versus troy and they said 22K.

A popularity contest at Troy is probably dead last on my bucket list. Ironic that you, BTH and a few others take multiple shots at schools departing, but whine when people fire back. Bud, if your little group can continue take shots, then be prepared for return fire.
