RE: Boise State question?
Well, from this person's perspective, Boise State is a bunch of certified badasses that we need in the conference for a myriad of reasons...and the sooner the better.

RE: Boise State question?
I would not want to lose Boise. I think they have done a great job at putting their name up there nationally and it would bing attention to the league.

RE: Boise State question?
Boise is the only thing making the new Big East a better FB conference than C-USA circa 2003/2004.
Fact.

1. The Big East never really had TCU.
2. Boise more than makes up for the WVU loss.

Ok I did. I got distracted and I meant for ECU to be there also. That gives us 14.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy & nuts... That is not in the "cards" (no pun intended), and this talk of being cavalier about losing/ ditching either BSU or SDSU is not healthy or wise, IMO.
We can talk about contingencies if/ when needed, but we need a strong commissioner quickly as badly as we need aother BSU affirmation to stay the course.

True. We still can be if we can hold this thing together, get BYU, and play to our potential. It can be won on the field of play. We just need to to do it.

True.

Depends upon what you mean.
Does Boise bring better on-the-field records as WVU over the past decade? Yes.
Does Boise have better long-term history, tradition, fan base size and bowl attractiveness than WVU? No. Even if Boise has been better than WVU on-the-field recently (and to be clear, WVU hasn't been a slouch), there is NO comparison about off-the-field value (which is why WVU got invited by the Big 12 despite horrific geography in the first place).

I was talking solely about on field performance.

Boise St is just as attractive to bowls as West Virginia. They travel just as well and bring lots of eyeballs. They brought 35k+ to the Fiesta Bowl against us.

Please educate us about the LONG TERM history and tradition of WVU football. Bowl attractiveness? Bowl look at two things... on field performance that year, and fan draw. WVU is NOT a leader in either category. Did they do well in the BE the last few years, sure. But please don't act like WVU is the next Texas or Alabama.
