1) Notre Dame, Louisville, UConn, Cincinnati and Rugers are looking.
2) Big East may not be doing well in revenue sharing for football.
3) Air Force and BYU have no interest in the New Big East.
4) Boise, San Diego and Navy maybe ready to pull a TCU!
5) Georgetown, Villanova, Steton Hall, St. Johns, Providence, DePaul and Marquette maybe looking to split.
6) Marinatto has completely blotched the TV contract renewal.

I firmly believe a lot of glue is needed to fix this. I do believe that these teams will stay togather:

Temple
East Carolina will be added
Central Florida
South Florida
Memphis
SMU
Houston

No the reason was as noted below.

Quote:With the Big East’s next television contract set to be negotiated in September, all signs point toward a gridiron-oriented successor with some degree of TV background—a stark departure for a conference whose power brokers have been basketball guys with Providence ties.

The Presidents just didn't feel that Marinatto was the man to get the tv negotiating job done. Do you think he was? 05-nono He neither had a gridiron or tv backround.

The BE is like Rasputin, it just won't die no matter how many times you think it is dead. They'll lose more teams, and then add more teams to replace them. I'm done believing conspiracy theories that the league will ever die.

At the conclusion of the final chapter, even Rasputin eventually comes to an end...

Simple. You bring in Britton Banowsky as the Commish, & the top C-USA programs.
However, getting along with the Conference Presidents are another thing.

And one of the teams that will eventually be added is ECU.04-cheers

Kind of an overreaction, I think.

Heck, everyone made fun of the guy, constantly. Now, he is gone and it is a sign of the Apocalypse?

+1

Don't try using common sense on these boards.
