Who will Romney pick as his VP
Baring a scandal of some sort, I think he'll cruise to the nomination now. So who y'all think he'll choose. Personally I think he'll choose someone like a Rubio or a Newt. He needs someone that would rally the base. Because I tend to think the base in general still doesn't support the man.

I'm thinking it will be Paul Ryan

Two silver spoon cradle-to-grave one percenters from blue states? I don't think so. Romney if he's smart (which he is) won't go to any greater lengths to defend the Ryan budget than he has to. I still say Martinez.

Not sure but I just saw Condi Rice blabbering about something on CSPAN in front og Heritage Foundation. I could see him picking her for Sec of State.

While true, the thing is these righties actually like Ryan for some reason.

Charts like this just prove their own agendas....
The headline talks about tax increases and cuts, but the chart is actually about after tax income.... Which is clearly different from tax increases or cuts. The methodology for calculating benefits cuts to the poor, which aren't tax increases, but that isn't really the point, simply takes a reduced budget and divides it amongst recipients.... It doesn't assume unchanged benefits and a cut in beauracracy/administrative costs. On the other end of the spectrum, it ignores that the wealthy have choices between income and gains... And that by lowering rates, certain tax shelters become uneconomic to pursue.... So they report more income, and pay more taxes as a result, but still, they report more income. In the simplest example, one could argue that any plan to eliminate 'loopholes' will result in more after tax income being reported by the rich....

Well stated Hambone.
It's also a lie to say anything is "cut" under Ryan's plan. He increases spending for every program for the poor, just not as much as Obama. Hence they label it a "cut."
It's a lie that is freely embraced by sycophants like Max.

Both her parents were US citizens though. That's the other way to be a US citizen at birth.
Of course McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone so you don't have to be born in the US (or at least the GOP doesn't think you have to be). And Obama was born in Kenya!

RE: Who will Romney pick as his VP
It's not clear but the question is what it means to be a "naturally born citizen" and I think the most straightforward definition is someone who is not "naturalized." If both your parents are US citizens there is no need to be naturalized, so you're natural born.
At least I hope so, because this looks like it could be Palin II

canal zone was american-held teritory in 1936. not so with kenya or trinadad. but yeah if her parents were both us-citizens then she's in the clear.
carroll is not going to be the vp-nominee so the discusion is silly. but a 53-yr-old who served in the navy for 20 yrs (husband longtime in the air force) and has been involved in repub-politics in florida for the last 12 years wouldnt be as vulnerble to attack as palin was.

RE: Who will Romney pick as his VP
I've never heard her talk so I can't say how Palin-esque she is for sure but the diploma mill degrees (one of them gave an honorary doctorate to Kim il Sun!) and apparent lack of policy experience could spell trouble.
Positives:
Military background
Carry Florida?
Split the minority vote?

No it's not. But it's accredited, unlike her two MBAs, which means she's batting. 333

she doesn't have an mba, far as i'm concerned.
the veep nominee will be somebody whos been elected gov. or sen.
i guess ryan has a shot but doubt it'll be him. martinez would be good but seems like she's got some family issues to overrule it. prob mcdonnell or portman, rubio
