If all you care about is March, then what does it matter what happens in the regular season? If they win out but get bounced in the second round, the regular season success will be of no value. And if they go .500 the rest of the way but make the Elite 8, then so what if they blew the conference title. At this point, they are going to make the tournament, so why care at all about the regular season the rest of the way?

This isn't just a UC fan's perspective. The vast majority of college bball fans, including the media, put more value in March success over anything else. Right or wrong a program is measured on success in March. With that said, doesn't mean one cannot enjoy the ride. This weekend was my 3rd or 4th game. Enjoyed attending so far.
