I think some of that was Cumberland finally ran out of patience with the last game and a half and stopped moving on offense. We are going to have to figure out a way to counter the defenses of the last two games.
Plus Cumberland has been playing a LOT of minutes, and playing hard. He may have just run out of gas.
What I found encouraging was this. When UCONN concentrated on shutting Cumberland down, the rest of the team stepped up and found a way to win. It was not necessarily pretty, but they got it done.
I was also encouraged with the improvement of Diarra. Not a finished product by any means, but that diamond in the rough is becoming a little more polished. Still needs to learn how to pass the ball on offense, but it is like the game is slowing down for him. He could be really fun to watch in the coming years.

Agree Diarra looked great in his first real minutes in some time. Congrats to him.

Cumberland didn't get to the line the last two games like he has all year, especially in conference. He has to do a bit better job of that. But the way the refs called those games had a lot to do with it too. UConn had only 14 fouls, and UCF was called for just 12.
The way UConn was successfully fronted Jarron, I hope UC is working on some Princeton/Bobby Knight backcuts.
Mick is 100% correct in that Jarron isn't getting the calls he did earlier this year. When they deny him the ball the defender might as well be hugging him.

Yep, there were a few times yesterday I looked at their denials on Jarron and they looked like something out of WWE.
