Great highlights. I hope he can do that at the college level. He looks like Larry English in high school.

Back in the 80s NIU had a Charles Jones from Michigan. I wonder if this is his son?

No surprise at all. Both kids had 1 and 3 offers respectively. This is 1 reason that early offers can be beneficial. Marcus Haynes had NIU listed as an interest, but the feeling may not have been mutual this early. There may be questions about PJ's coaching, but he is one of the top recruiters in the country.

The kids, with their more innocent minds, buy into his crap like the rats following the pied piper.

Haynes attended our junior day but he must of not had much interest following that.

According to the recruiting services, which haven't rated NIU in the top half of the MAC (OK a few 6 ranks) in 10 years until 2015's 4th. I think we can question their accuracy at the MAC level.

Yet another PJ thread
Not at all. Its a concern that many other schools in our own conference (WMU, CMU, Toledo, Miami, etc) have been coming to Illinois and grabbing many recruits that NIU doesn't even really put much effort into.
It looks like we have jump started the offers this year with guys in Florida but the coaching staff needs to be looking at players in our home region as well.

after all the recruiting discussions and hand wringing, do you think our coaches are looking at home grown players? Do you think the staff has to be reminded of that fact? Our recruits are hand picked based on the criteria of our recruiting philosophy. So what that these 2 kids are going to WMU. We can't take every kid available.
