After watching AP play, I think it’s a Tarleton victory next week.
Tarleton is set for the next few weeks. It will be the final two games that will be tough. Both of those game have play-off implications. At least you play both us and the Bears at home.
If both ACU and Tarleton continue winning until their game, I would expect a packed house and a great game. Adding to the rivalry!!!!!
I agree, I think that is going to be a big game either way, but if we both win out up to that game... look out, it will be crazy. I hate that we have SFA on the road after you all.
So you may over look us? J/K.
LOL, no one even hinted at that.

If AP can only score 13 against arguably the worst team in FCS than I do not think Tarleton should have any problems beating AP. Being that Mercer and Villanova both lost we should move up 2 spots in the polls to #7 unless we get leapfrogged because we did not play this week.
I don't think you will necessarily move up because of the bye and the other shifting around but who knows. I don't punish teams when voting and they have byes, but a spot here or there can depend on what else is going on. On the other polls, it depends on how they do their voting.

RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #8
I am still flustered that UCA is ranked as high as they are. Yes, their past resume is good. Yes, their current resume is decent, but we have already beaten them and they are ranked lower than both Tarleton and ACU in the UAC, yet still they get ranked higher in the polls. It's frustrating.

It was the loss to UNA that killed you guys in the polls.

...but that UNA loss will age like fine wine if UNA can knock off UCA this weekend.

It would be better overall for the UAC and ACU if UCA wins this weekend.

We need ACU and UCA to keep winning until they play us for the UAC to get 3 teams in to the playoffs. ACU is right on the edge of getting in/left out and can not afford another loss except to Tarleton Maybe. A loss to UNA could knock out UCA and UNA does not have a chance of getting in without winning conference.

If Tarleton loses a game and UNA keeps winning it only helps our playoff position with quality of wins. Getting 3 UAC teams in would be great and all, but we do not want to face UCA or ACU twice!

I have the fear somebody will face someone twice.

ACU has it's bye this weekend.
I know, I just wanted to use ACU UCA and UAC in the same sentence! We need to add a AUC CAU and a CUA to the conference and have some real fun!

Interesting... just posted on the ACU Cat Chat site: Maverick McIvor, at 2,552, leads all of NCAA in passing yardage (Miami’s Cameron Ward, -14, and UNT’s Chandler Morris, -128). Maybe he can break our all-time record for a season... He has the receivers to do it.

I knew he was getting close. Not sure he can beat our all-time leaders though, like Mitchel Gale and Billy Malone. Can he get to 4th or 3rd over-all?

Kayvon Britten currently leads FCS and is -88 yds behind FBS leading rusher after a bye week. Would be awesome for UAC to have All-NCAA Top Passer & Top Rusher

That would be neat! UAC as a premier FCS conference.

Getting 3 teams in the playoffs would certainly help reach that goal. They would need to sustain that level for a few more years to be in the top dog club, but they are knocking at the door now. We need Tarleton UCA and ACU to beat everyone else on the schedule ( except us of course!) and have Tarleton and UCA finish in top 10 and ACU in top 20.
