Let me guess, the same ignoramus "sources" that told you Tarleton wears TCU's hand-me-down unis? You got no cred here, kid. Scram.

If GCU joins the Mountain West instead of the WCC, will the WCC snag Cal Baptist? That will hurt the WAC more if new schools aren't announced soon. It takes a while to get the D2 schools out of probation.

Despite the "for profit" label, they have $ and a good athletic dept ,especially basketball, which equates to more tourney money for the conference. Not to mention that they are in a big market in a state that the MWC does not have any teams in, and in the west. I am sure St Mary's and Cal Baptist might get a look as well. The latter will almost certainly at the very least go to the WCC. If they add GCU do they go to 10 or 12? Is Tarleton still in the picture? What about NIU and Toldedo?
Tarleton State was never in the picture. You don’t actually believe everything the media tells you, do ya?

Dellinger’s tweet was a late leak from a certain somebody that likes to say “Roll Texans”. Any Tarleton invite would’ve been decided on after TXST or SH accepted. Those deep and serious discussions were just hypotheticals revolving around being a necessary travel partner with preexisting FBS schools, which the league obviously desires. When both TSUS schools passed, Tarleton was out.

When you’re being pushed aside for schools in the rust belt, you know you are not a serious option.

The MWC would rather compile a collection of far flung, yet established fb-only programs and schools that spend on Olympics (GCU, SU), than bring up a school like Tarleton. There is no value in adding a small rural Texas school without bringing along a more notable program to join.

Our small rural Texas school will be surpassing your school in enrollment within the next three years.

I'm not arguing your sources. Your points have far less impact because you are a toxic poster who insults every chance you get. You get banned for it, but just keep starting new screen names. I wish you'd stay on the CUSA board because you derail threads more than anyone else.

I don't think the WAC is dead. There are 2 schools in Texas and one in Oklahoma from D2 could be snagged to join them in the future.

That’s fine. You don’t have to like the messenger. You don’t even have to like the message. You’ll come back to this at some point and realize I’m right, just as I was about the WAC and UAC.

Not detailing anything. Topic of convo is about Tarleton in the MW. Commenting that its not happening ain’t derailment, champ.

No sources. Didn’t even know Sam was out of the running until recently, when its been public knowledge for weeks. Clueless. Mindless. About the only people left buying the Tarleton rumors. But then again, it seems like a certain group of people eat that **** up.

They are lowering the waiting time for D2 schools to move up by a year.

SammyH must live a miserable existence. Constantly looking to build himself up by putting others down.

Winning and influencing friends 101

I hear the CUSA board calling you home

Idk if that is the path the WAC is on. But, David St is looking for a life raft.

The schools he is talking about are light years ahead of Nicholls, SE LA, and Northwestern LA which are all currently Southland Conference schools.

You like that inner city body cam video from a random police department on Youtube where they argue and holler over everyone and the officer the entirety of the time because they have to be right. I don't care that you are right or not. This place is a free exchange of ideas and viewpoints on the given topic.

But you lose any "cred" you get by intentionally being a caustic poster, which has led to your banishment from other profiles. You then play victim and blame everyone else, all while derailing threads by using terms like what has been bolded.

You wanna post why the MWC passed over Tarleton, knock yourself out, but as soon as I see you name, I roll my eyes because I know you are going to be a jerk in how you describe them or the situation.

Then you get upset when they point out your schools deficiencies, like attendance or facilities, and the thread derails. All because you had to write veiled insults instead of just typing Tarleton.

Lol this dude has a major chubby for all things Tarleton. Kinda sad, really, but I get it. Look, it has to suck to watch Tarleton leapfrog FCS after Sam spent 50 years in the Southland Slum. They finally got their shot at FBS after winning that covid-natty that will always have an *ASTERISK* next to it, but everybody quickly realized their facilities/attendance/school, all of it, is just a bunch of smoke & mirrors. A total "Scam" ...Houston....a FUGAZI! Their own AD recently said publicly they were nowhere near ready for FBS when they buffaloed CUSA into
taking them as a warm body, and they couldn't afford to make the jump to MWC even if it were offered. #FACTS. And then, to add fuel to the fire, people are starting to see that TARLETON is the REAL DEAL! We came up the hard/smart way and our vitals are healthy. So healthy, in fact, that we're being considered by *multiple* FBS conferences just DAYS, not 50 years, after completing our extremely successful D1 transition. Again, I get it, it really has to suck for ol' Scammy to watch Tarleton do what we're doing. And yes, jealously and envy have completely consumed a group of pubescent-minded Sam
fans to the point they're now suffering from diarrhea of the mouth. But, overall, Sam really ain't all that bad. I'm
actually glad to see them doing well in FBS. It bodes well for
Tarleton's future success and hopefully we can eventually get a rivalry going if we end up in CUSA. But for right now, all things considered, TARLETON > shsu, and now everybody knows it. And again, that REALLY has to suck for Sam fans.

It all comes down to $$$. The haves and the have nots. Unfortunately Sam Houston is mired down in the Texas State system which lacks the funding and PUF $$$ being bestowed on the UT system and the A&M system.

Its really all about the numbers in each system. I really feel if there was any REAL MOVEMENT in Arlington for a football team it would happen. The $$$ is there. Don't fool yourself. The only thing missing is someone in ADMIN to actually come up with a plan and get local support.

Well, the Mountain West will be taking Grand Canyon instead of the WCC.

Will the WCC take Cal Baptist? I'm thinking yes.

I also think this closes the door for Tarelton St to go to the MWC. If that is the case and CUSA offers, do they accept?

The WAC better start getting serious about some D2 schools very fast if they want to survive.

Do we know if Conference USA is still actively expanding?

I agree that Cal Baptist might go to the WCC as they would be needing to fill slots, and looking for non-FB schools.
