Could not have said it better myself. We lived by the Carter Center for years. We used to take our son’s to the ponds behind it regularly. A real beautiful place. Used to eat at Manual’s Tavern nearby there. It’s a big Democratic hangout near the Carter Center (get the dogzilla!) that Jimmy and Rosalyn would eat at occasionally. The staff said the President was a nice guy. My dad shook his hand when he was running for President. Happy Belated Birthday President Carter.
