Hats of to the T-Birds, man. Probably the best 2-4 team in the FCS. Gonna be a tough out the rest of the way no matter who they face..

Congrats to ACU on the TOP 5 WIN against your inversely proportional purple twin UCA I am glad you held on to win the game in regulation. Tarleton almost made me have to change my undies. We looked terrible in the 2nd half....yet again. luckily SUU's kicker may be even worse than ours! It may have taken a missed extra point in OT to win the game, but at least we won. Congrats to Vanderbilt on their historic win!

Ha! My buddy I was watching this game with (Not a Tarleton guy) looked at me and said "Do you guys have a soccer team?" when Guzman missed that last FG at end of regulation. I said "Only womens soccer" he than said "well I guess its time to have open try outs". I agreed. Guzman has a strong leg, but a highly inacurate one.

RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #6
Take aways from Tarleton win over Southern Utah.
1. Others are making half time adjustments and Whitten has been caught flat footed too many times in the second half.
2. FG kicker is simply atrocious no other way to sugar coat it. Missing basically an extra point to win the game is inexcusable. My guess is there a student on campus that kicked for his HS that is better than this.
3. Gabalis is improving every week and this was by far his best game.
4. Overall Tarleton is improving and that is the biggest bonus.

On the offensive side of the ball, we had way too many dropped passes, especially in the second half.
And we can’t make a FG.

RE: UAC FOOTBALL WEEK #6
Can't blame the kicker. He should have never been put into that position to win/lose the game for us. We put up 504 yards of total offense. Big number, right? The problem with that is 90% of it was in the first half. SUU put up 509 yards of offense, with 99% of that coming in the 2nd half. Bottom line is we got soft at halftime, and SUU got tough. This is a recurring theme. I'm certain Whitten's message to the team at halftime was conservative (soft) in nature. I'm also certain SUU's HC had precisely the opposite message. Until Whitten learns to not be a big ol' softy when we're up, this will continue to happen. We have enough talent on offense to win a natty. We just have a coach that has no clue how to get the ball into his playmakers' hands consistently because he's afraid. He's afraid to go for it on 4th and short, he's afraid to throw a bubble screen, he's afraid of any trick play, whatsoever. Hell, we don't even run reverse sweeps. Ever! That soft/scared mentality on offense has trickled down to our Defense. We never blitz. We never press the WRs at the line of scrimmage, we never take chances. We are, quite honestly, the most boring and predictable Top 25 team in FCS. Teams like that can be good, but never great. We might win some games, and maybe even make the playoffs, but until be get alor more *ballsy* on both sides of the ball, we're gonna continue to be what we've always been with Whitten in charge - an incredibly talented bunch of underachievers.

This kicker and his unit cost us the Eastern Kentucky and Southern Utah games last year. Did all he could last night to get me to my 8-4 season prediction. He’s a senior right? Please dear Lord let him be a senior.
Think I know where a little NIL money could be well spent in 2025.
