That's a fair point. Biden has been a liar all along. That's my problem with Biden. He's lost our main alliances in the MidEast, which is unacceptable
On a few of your post you bring up the ME, like it's very important to you. So tell all of us how was the ME during 2017-2020?
Also compare 2017-2020 on the ME to what ever president you believe was the best during your lifetime?
Lets be 100% honest on the answer and leave you bias out of it. I already know the answer and so does most people on this board. But I want to see if the person that complains about lying....
lies or can tell the truth
Our MidEast policy been shaky for the entirety of my lifetime. Reagan funding freedom fighters in Afghanistan kinda set the stage for what we're seeing today. Then Bush Sr. didn't finish the job, then Clinton was OK at best. He had a deal between the PLO and Israel set up, not exactly his fault that fell through but he didn't do enough to combat the rising threat. G Dubbs hitting Iraq before finishing the job in Afghanistan was a grave mistake. Obama appeasing Iran and the IRGC by lifting the sanctions was a grave mistake in which led to the rise of the Houthis in Yemin. Trump brought about the Abraham Accords and other things. And tbh, I think every POTUS in my lifetime had their heart in the right place. The strength of the IRGC grew under every POTUS we've had, and we've slowly lost allies along the way. Can we truly call Turkey an ally today? They're on the precipice of joining Brics and our main ally in Saudi Arabia is in Brics.
Trump's ME policy was forgettable. He did some good and he tried. Turkey began to fall away during his tenure, which isn't totally his fault. Trump's foreign policy in general is a weakness of his, which makes sense; he's a businessman. Him flooding the oil market weakened the relationship with OPEC, but in general I don't find that as a fault.
Despite his flaws, I'd say G Dubbs was the best POTUS of my lifetime regarding ME policy.
I guess 2017-2020 was a rough period for you because it's about like you don't have a clue on what took place....
You don't remember Trump blowing the head right off a Iran top general because he was behind a attack?
You don't remember Israel and the Saudis signed peace agreement?
Saudi Arabia and Israel quietly prepare 'deal of the century'
Quote:The idea is that all Arab nations will finally become allies with Israel, bringing peace to the previously tumultuous region. As countries in the Middle East move to re-position themselves to face new perceived threats, a major new alliance, and one previously considered implausible, appears to be emerging. The conservative Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is signalling it can strike an unprecedented peace deal with Israel, a country that is still known in some Saudi books as the ‘Zionist Enemy’.
The region is abuzz with slogans for the new deal but nothing captures what’s going on as well as ‘the deal of the century’, a phrase coined by Egyptian General-turned-President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and extensively adopted by Arab media. The idea is that all Arab nations will finally become allies with Israel, bringing peace to the previously tumultuous region.
You don't remember the last 17 months of Trumps term, not one America was killed in Afghanistan?
You know the reason for that? According to at least one person, Trump told the taliban leader, if one hair of a American is damaged. He would blow his ass off the face of the earth. Then showed him a satellite picture of his home. Then Trump got up and walked out of the room.
By all account the ME was as peaceful the last 2 years of Trumps term than its been in any of our lifetime. As for the IRGC growing in strength under Trump that is just a silly comment. Not only silly but the exact opposite took place.
Like I said...must have been during your bad times because most of everything you said just isn't true. As for Trump's foreign policy....
no new wars and Russia didn't dare to make a move till he was out of office. Something they did under the two presidents before Trump and the one after him. Also NATO started paying their share.
It's like you went out of your way to paint a picture that you didn't have a clue of what should be on the canvas.
