The real Liberals were chased out of the Democratic party. We got far left wing idiots. Same for the far right wing idiots like Trump, Green etc.

Trump is about as center as you can get on Abortion, gay rights, including gay marriage. And closer to Bill Clinton on most social issues....helping hand, then get a job and off welfare. Than any republican president in your lifetime.

The problem I have with those of you that just look at the debt you are out of context....

when you are comparing it to the GPD and the below chart clearly show the problem. Yes during Covid and trying to battle the China released virus that the experts said could kill 50 million Americans, it went up. If someone did not expect this....you're an idiot. Full f'ing idiot. You can give Biden one year grace but the below chart tells a story and I think it's very clear.

Speaking for the full f'ing idiots:

--> Some of us were not sold on the hysterical predictions of 50mm dead Americans.

--> Some of us did not agree on the need for a total lockdown our nation.

--> Some of us thought "two weeks to flatten the curve" meant two weeks.

--> Some of us thought it unwise for the government to backstop the entire economy.

--> And some of us realized, in real time, that the resulting debt was going to come back to bite us. Hard.

None of us had the responsibility of 50 million Americans deaths on our hands. None of us were making decisions based off experts that was put in place way before Trump was in the White House.
All of us could second guess all we wanted to with no worries on if we were right or wrong.

I'm ending this by saying only a f'ing idiot thinks if they were in charge they would go off what they "thought" and not the people who's job was to tell the president the truth...

that truth was that 50 million Americans could die if we don't get a handle on this.

If you are one of those F'ing idiots that believe you would not have listened to the "experts". More power to you but we both know you are lying out of your ass if you believe that.

But even with that....

the chart still tells a story if you want to take it as a whole and not just your Trump hating self.

edit: btw, believing what you said you knew. YOU STILL TOOK THE DAMN SHOT!. So you caved because you thought your job was on the line. So you are now full of shite if you think you would not have listened to the "experts". YOU CAVED on a f'ing job! That is the facts of your 2nd guessing after the facts. You didn't have the f'ing balls to stand up for what you BELIEVED when you had a actually choice to make.

We thought the same thing when Hillary ran in 2016. Thank God she lost.

Everyone talks about being a fly on the wall for a certain moment in history. That’s my moment, election night 2016 at her campaign headquarters. I wanted to see the look on their faces and their reactions when they realized they lost what was viewed as the biggest slam dunk in political history.

Same here. Her aides/advisors have been admirably discreet about the precise chronology of that night. But to know *exactly* all the particulars would be golden.

A few deep breaths, WKUYG. Donald knows you care and he needs you. Just keep playing those Celine Dion songs in your head (something about a hero), and know that every day you wake up is a victory for Team Orange.

And whenever you start feeling this tense, just know that you only need to close your eyes, tap your golden Trump shoes together (no lie, they actually were selling those at the rally), and keep saying to yourself “there’s no president like Donald”. When your do, the beautiful princess of Orangeland (who will look just like Melania) will float down in a bubble and take you to your happy place.

Collectively, we have exactly what we deserve.

We are bad citizens. That’s why we have bad government.

We try to pretend we aren’t the problem, but we are responsible for the whole mess.

The problem is giving tax breaks to the wealthy like Trump did raised our debt higher. The problem is not some of the government programs like the medical stuff, but the runaway prices of everyday living that supposed to be safety nets for the poor, the elderly and the disabled are being cut, but the pet projects for both parties that does not really benefit the people do not get cut. It is like stealing from the poor and giving it to the rich. Trickle down effect does not work as we see the private equity firms want the businesses to lay off people and close businesses a cross the country to a point more people are becoming poor, homeless, no medical care etc. Replacing manual labor with robots have been also a problem. Self check outs at Wal-Mart, robot control moppers in Wal-Mart with nobody controlling them, robots cooking burgers at McDonalds, stuff like that.

Tax policies do not explain the debt explosion. I suspect you know that, DavidSt, but like WKUYG are too ideologically invested in your own narrative to contribute anything other than irrelevant talking points.

At least as of the present moment, the left doesn’t trouble me much at all. They are too busy getting cooked in a political stew of their own making. There literally is NO policy plank on the left that has not been proven completely false by reality. Not the economy. Not the border. Not foreign policy. Not energy. Not education. Not crime. Not civil rights. Not basic American freedom and liberty. The left has totally discredited itself.

That leaves Democrats (and its complicit media) with only two paths of escape: (i) replace Biden, and somehow convince the American populace that the problems were specific to his administration and not to progressive policies - - not likely, but they’ll try; and (ii) double, triple and then quadruple down on demonizing Trump individually and the amorphous “MAGA” movement generally.

It is this second prong that concerns me. Especially when I see the irrationally brittle outrage of posters like WKUYG. In 2020, that same angry insecurity was a constant with Donald Trump. It, more than anything (including the swing-state cheating), is what lost him the election. It then only got worse with him, and carried forward to an appallingly bad showing by Republicans in the 2022 midterms.

Thankfully, Donald himself seems to have moved past it. (Knock wood, fingers/toes crossed, etc.) Let’s hope that it doesn’t resurface at the wrong moment. Because it is all that the Democrats have and they are banking on it.

America Deserves Better
Does “America” deserve better?

Assuming that 81 million people really voted for this guy, “they” are getting the government they deserve. You gotta assume at least 80% of those voters are going to vote for blue no matter who.

I feel sorry for the opposition that has to put up with the constant lies and obfuscation of facts on a daily basis, so most on this board.

lies or can tell the truth

Our MidEast policy been shaky for the entirety of my lifetime. Reagan funding freedom fighters in Afghanistan kinda set the stage for what we're seeing today. Then Bush Sr. didn't finish the job, then Clinton was OK at best. He had a deal between the PLO and Israel set up, not exactly his fault that fell through but he didn't do enough to combat the rising threat. G Dubbs hitting Iraq before finishing the job in Afghanistan was a grave mistake. Obama appeasing Iran and the IRGC by lifting the sanctions was a grave mistake in which led to the rise of the Houthis in Yemin. Trump brought about the Abraham Accords and other things. And tbh, I think every POTUS in my lifetime had their heart in the right place. The strength of the IRGC grew under every POTUS we've had, and we've slowly lost allies along the way. Can we truly call Turkey an ally today? They're on the precipice of joining Brics and our main ally in Saudi Arabia is in Brics.

Trump's ME policy was forgettable. He did some good and he tried. Turkey began to fall away during his tenure, which isn't totally his fault. Trump's foreign policy in general is a weakness of his, which makes sense; he's a businessman. Him flooding the oil market weakened the relationship with OPEC, but in general I don't find that as a fault.

Despite his flaws, I'd say G Dubbs was the best POTUS of my lifetime regarding ME policy.

That's a fair point. Biden has been a liar all along. That's my problem with Biden. He's lost our main alliances in the MidEast, which is unacceptable

On a few of your post you bring up the ME, like it's very important to you. So tell all of us how was the ME during 2017-2020?

Also compare 2017-2020 on the ME to what ever president you believe was the best during your lifetime?

Lets be 100% honest on the answer and leave you bias out of it. I already know the answer and so does most people on this board. But I want to see if the person that complains about lying....

lies or can tell the truth

I guess 2017-2020 was a rough period for you because it's about like you don't have a clue on what took place....

You don't remember Trump blowing the head right off a Iran top general because he was behind a attack?

You don't remember Israel and the Saudis signed peace agreement?

Saudi Arabia and Israel quietly prepare 'deal of the century'

Quote:The idea is that all Arab nations will finally become allies with Israel, bringing peace to the previously tumultuous region. As countries in the Middle East move to re-position themselves to face new perceived threats, a major new alliance, and one previously considered implausible, appears to be emerging. The conservative Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is signalling it can strike an unprecedented peace deal with Israel, a country that is still known in some Saudi books as the ‘Zionist Enemy’.

The region is abuzz with slogans for the new deal but nothing captures what’s going on as well as ‘the deal of the century’, a phrase coined by Egyptian General-turned-President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and extensively adopted by Arab media. The idea is that all Arab nations will finally become allies with Israel, bringing peace to the previously tumultuous region.

You don't remember the last 17 months of Trumps term, not one America was killed in Afghanistan?

You know the reason for that? According to at least one person, Trump told the taliban leader, if one hair of a American is damaged. He would blow his ass off the face of the earth. Then showed him a satellite picture of his home. Then Trump got up and walked out of the room.

By all account the ME was as peaceful the last 2 years of Trumps term than its been in any of our lifetime. As for the IRGC growing in strength under Trump that is just a silly comment. Not only silly but the exact opposite took place.

Like I said...must have been during your bad times because most of everything you said just isn't true. As for Trump's foreign policy....

no new wars and Russia didn't dare to make a move till he was out of office. Something they did under the two presidents before Trump and the one after him. Also NATO started paying their share.

It's like you went out of your way to paint a picture that you didn't have a clue of what should be on the canvas.
