Favid Jones said he does care. He wants to get to the NCAA tournament, and they still have that shot.

Jones does care. He did give it his all today. Problem is you have to play well as a team to win in D1, not just hero ball. That’s the coaching staff’s job.

Around the first of the year i made mention of the possibility of uneasiness due to players believing that their minutes were given to the Hardaway brothers.

Then you had Tomlin added in the middle of the season.

Plus Brown walking away from the team and then allowed to return.

Any of these events had the ability to create disorder on the team.

But all three combined.

How could you expect them to function as a team?

I still think Penny overall is a good coach. But we will never know how good he will be as long as he has family on the team. And by family I not only mean his sons, but players he’s had a long relationship with. It’s his Achilles heel imo. I’ve never heard him say anything critical about them.
