Coach Burno said Butler hyper-extended his knee.

It was a really awkward fall. He got blocked, which kind of took his legs out from under him. He then landed leaning back, with his feet under him and his knees out in front as if he was kneeling and trying to lie down on his back at the same time.

Very awkward indeed. Hope it's not something that keeps him out too long. He looks like he could be a key contributer from the bench as a guy who can defend, get rebounds, and occasionally score around the bucket cleaning up missed baskets.

NIU had Nutter, Konan, Amos, Phil come back into the game with under 8 minutes not all at the same time but please don’t do that again. You were up 40[/align]

Good W, fun to see a lot of guys get in. Fine crowd for a Monday night against a D3 team in November. Team is deep enough to take both this weekend, let’s go Dogs.

For the tournament that starts Friday it looks like Georgia St is 1-1 with a 7-pt win over WMU and 2-pt loss to 1-1 Belmont.

Little Rock is 1-1 with a win over Texas St (TX St beat Miami O by 10 points) and 15-pt loss to UIC.

Both look like very winnable games.

Good win against a bad team last night. Today's practice should be broken down into two stations. At one end of the court they should be practicing layups and at the other end they should be shooting free throws. 13 for 29 is unacceptable, at some point this season those free throws are going to mean something and they need to be made.

And the link to the game recap is a dead link on their web site, does anyone check these things when posted?

Yeah. I'm not overly concerned about last night's free throws.

A couple of the guys who start shot like 1 for 2 and then Ibarguen when 1 for 4. Otherwise, a lot of free throws by guys who typically wouldn't be playing the minutes they played last night.

I mean, I doubt we have too many games going forward where Gogic and McPhearson combine for an 0 for 6 from the line?

Plus, Coit didn't even shoot a FT and he's 15 for 15 on the season and only missed 8 all of last year.

Don't expect efficiency or attention to detail from Donna and Co.

Speaking of free throws. I was just checking on some of our transfers and how they're doing at their new schools. Honestly, I had kind of forgot Crump transferred to Western Michigan.

Anyway...in true Crump fashion, he's a cool 0 for 7 from the charity stripe.

I tuned into the UMASS home bball game last night for few minutes. Looked like 1500 people in the stands max. Definitely not too cool for school, or the MAC.

Winning games like this weekend vs Georgia State and Little Rock will go a long way to seeing if this team is different from recent years. I think we are a huge cut above and will get out the weekend at 4-1. Ran into Coach Burno quickly at Fatty's yesterday and seems like an intense but friendly guy.

From the schedule and espn, Friday's game is at 1PM on the plus and the Saturday game is also at 1PM but not televised.

Anyone aware if the tournament will have it's own streaming feed? I feel like the one we were in last year (FGCU???) did stream it on their website, but I'm not 100% certain.

Nothing on the panther website for Saturday. Just live stats. I am still planning on driving over from SC. The Sat game will be lucky to have a few hundred in attendance as MTEs notoriously are not attended well. Fri with Ga State playing on a weekday afternoon the attendnce is anyone's guess.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
