I’m probably not the most objective observer but my impressions:
Maruska started the first game and played sporadically. She looked very good at times
Weske played quite a bit and is a good 6-rotation player
McCardell looks even better than she was last year. She’s obviously an elite defender
Knobbe is an elite MB. She will be a significant factor
Tchouawanga is a star of the future. She played in the 2nd and 3rd games and can obviously be an all-conference player. She had some electric plays
Kostelecky and Courtley looked good
Overall..defense was excellent (especially when Mansfield and McCardell were on the Court)..offense will depend a lot on Harris (who looked really good at times)..way too many service errors but it’s early..we had four service errors in a row to start the third set.
UH is good and played well. If we correct the mistakes we can easily be a top 20 team. We need to correct the mistakes quickly since the early schedule will be challenging

Looking at the pictures on the team’s Instagram it does appear that Genny played around with lineups. Izzy was used for some of the sets. Freshman Love had some time in the 3rd set. Cindy and Foord both played. Johnson played also. Excited to see what the team does in real competition this week.

Looking forward to seeing them on Friday and Saturday (and a week from Tuesday). I'm betting Genny goes with a 10-11 player rotation. Harris will be the primary setter, but I wouldn't be surprised if Izzy plays some with Harris moving back to the backline to give either Gabby or Nia a breather. Expect Weske and, perhaps Maruska again, to be 6-rotation players as they're arguably our two best servers. Knobbe and Kostelecky rotate at MB. Courtley, Weske and Maruska the starting OHs, but fully expect both Foord and Cindy to see action each match, depending on the matchups.
