RE: Add From The Republican Group
Are you trying to "add" people to the Republican group? Didn't waste my time clicking the link. Probably some TDS propaganda...

Most online sports communities have a "no politics rule" for a good reason.

I don't get why this one doesn't. Although it's mostly just the WMU board that does this. I checked the other MAC school boards awhile ago and their boards are all just related to their university news. What a concept! That's the only reason I check the WMU forum. You know, for info about WMU... There's a million other outlets for politics.

If it bothers you so much there is a vertical bar at the right side of all web pages that allows you to keep scrolling.

Buts it’s like 8 of you anti republicans who communicate here. You would be better served just trading emails or phone numbers

The forum is called College SPORTS Network....for a reason. That's what all the other university fans use this to discuss: SPORTS . For some reason WMU "fans" are confused by the intent of this site.

Amen. Find a political forum. I'm sure there's plenty of left-wing forums for you all to get your jollies on.

CSNbbs officially hosts a political forum here: https://csnbbs.com/forum-540.html
It's overwhelmingly right-wing, FYI. In case anyone finds the smattering of political threads here too center-left for their tastes. You'll find a lot of CUSA and Sun Belt folks over there.
Ideally, we could have two more sub-forums: WMU Other Sports (baseball, tennis, etc.) and WMU Lounge (off-topic, including politics) and not have a "front page".
I'm guessing most people aren't fans of political debates with real-life family and close friends. And Twitter, etc., is a free-for-all swamp. So there's some sanctuary here. The people here are kinda "familiar" but still anonymous strangers.

I like the idea of a separate political forum instead of it being on the main page. If it was just a "smattering" of political threads, I wouldn't mind but it's about 80-90% of the threads. It's very off-putting. Especially with the Western side of the state being the "Republican" side of the state. If you notice, most of the political threads have MANY views but FEW responses. That should tell people something but they don't seem to get the hint.

I'm not anti-Republican. I'm anti Insurrectionist/Election Denier MAGA. It's troubling that you think those things mean the same thing.
I never felt compelled to share any "political" views on this forum until we had a traitorous President attempting to destroy our Democratic institutions and is now the GOP front runner to be nominated for President again.

But still there are like 8 people communicating. It’s a waste of resources and a web page. Often you 8 just post a political link and nothing else

Yep, perfect example of a poster that keeps people away from this forum.
Mods, PLEASE create a separate forum for politics!!!!!

A waste of resources and a web page? That's an odd take.
But, I suppose we need to listen to the 3 of you who are objecting to it.

I started a new thread for people to vote on this issue. Let's let "democracy" decide.

You are one of the main reasons I ignore most of the threads on here. It truly gives me a very negative opinion of WMU which frustrates me. I miss being proud to be a Bronco. I'm sure I'm not the only one with that sentiment.
