If I were a Houston fan, I'd be a little concerned that UH hasn't experienced the recruiting bump that the other former AAC schools have, especially UCF, which is building some serious momentum on the recruiting trail right now.

But that likely says more about Holgorson than it does about Houston's potential as a Big 12 program.

Holgorson seems to like the portal a lot more than hs recruiting, Houston’s classes are never high because of that.

Holgorson seems to like the portal a lot more than hs recruiting, Houston’s classes are never high because of that.

But he isn't exactly killing it in the portal either. 247 has regrouped their rankings with the new Big 12 alignment and their incoming transfer class ranks 9 out of 14 teams.

We’ve won a few recruiting battles we wouldn’t have prior to be added so there’s definitely been a bump in the recruiting, I just don’t think Holgy is that good of a recruiter (at least star wise). Ultimately I’m more concerned with our W/L totals than our recruiting class rankings. If he can’t put together a win product in two years he’s gone regardless of how his recruiting looks on paper.

holgar has always been a lazy recruiter and that is a product of a lot of those "air raid" coaches especially the ones that were under mike at some time.....that is probably the most consistent thing about coaches that came from under mike
