For perspective on Williams:

The math doesn't add up. But what it really says is Williams is not a critical evaluator, he passes through what he hears without checking.

Basically, Stanford's view and the Pac-12 spin is "expect us to get what Thompson's original valuation estimates were," with Schulz (WSU) implying that ESPN is involved.

Note, Tim Brando recently said on 365 the Pac-12's best money option is from an all streaming deal from what sources he trusts are telling him. But that is problematic. As he is with Fox, it sounds like they are out.

I don't think I buy Schulz's comment on ESPN ("layoffs") and needing six weeks. The reports out there say ESPN has not talked in weeks and isn't budging. Other reports say the linear concepts are "no names" not the big four (ESPN, FOX, NBC, CBS).

The big question, is having Arizona's Robbins on the committee a net positive or will it give him the information he needs to pull the trigger and move to the Big 12?

Wilner keeps sounding less and less confident. Maybe you are talking about Canzano?

I don’t see how I could trust Kliavkoff to deliver the goods now. They either have a deal or they don’t. Schools are finally building immunity to his linear concepts mungo jumbo. That doesn’t mean that anybody is definitely leaving yet, but every day that he delays makes it more likely, and I’d be shocked if all of the 4c haven’t at least started thinking of a new home in earnest.

Of course, one of their expat Presidents just killed NW, maybe their plan is to severely damage a bunch of B1G schools and get UCLA back. I read the other day that they’re still making plans around UCLA.
