16 days to get the TV/GOR deal sorted out so that Media Days can focus on the football season where:
1) USC is consensus Top 10 and Utah, Oregon, Washington and Oregon St are consensus Top 25.
2) The USC QB defends his Heisman Trophy with the QBs at Washington and Oregon in hot pursuit.

My guess is there will be little discussion about...

I speculate the PAC12 must have a new deal in place by media day or incur a significant risk of defection. The Big12 is on the prowl....

I think Oregon St wins the Conference and ends up in the top 10, possibly the CFP. And once the season starts, that will be the talk, regardless of what's going on with realignment, unless and until actual moves are announced. July 21 is an artificial deadline, just like all the others. Yeah, it will be awkward, but Kliavkoff doesn't have a deal that he can get signed so he'll obfuscate and spend a lot of time talking about how close they are, they'll sign a deal as soon as the network no-sign period ends in October, etc etc.
Useless take by Jason, you wonder how connected he really is at Zona... he never corroborated anything prior to when Robbins went public on how there was no GoR or media deal. He's just been unable to put out anything that sticks from the Zona PoV. I'd imagine they'd be the most conflicted school in all of this though.
Heard that this morning on Ourand’s podcast with special guest Paul Finebaum (Marchand on vacation).
I think we can put the artificial Pac 12 media deadline in the trash bin. They might have an update, or most likely give a nothing answer.
By the way, IMO, seems like Ourand might have a bit of an in with a decent Pac 12 source based on his intel today. Whereas Marchand has a hotline to ESPN sources. Seemed like Ross Dellinger had Pac 12 sources, but he is now out at SI. He can tweet, hope he finds a new gig soon.

Ross does good work, I'm quite sure he has something lined up.

That's logical. But it was just as logical if you said "by March Madness" or "by the end of the spring semester" or "by June 1". And if there is no deal and no defections by PAC 12 media days, swap in "Labor Day" and who knows, maybe "the Oregon-Washington game" or "the Oregon-USC game" or "the CCG".
I don't think any particular day on the calendar is going to cause movement. Eventually, if there is still no media deal with Big 12 type money and 50% linear, one school or another is going to conclude that there isn't a media deal today after 12 months of negotiations, there isn't going to be a media deal tomorrow, and there isn't going to be one in another 6 months
Well, we know one thing is certain. There WILL be a point of no return sooner rather than later because another year is not going to elapse with no deal. There is either going to be a deal that the conference members will accept or there will be defections. I think it says a lot that no deal has yet been accepted but no program has announced they're leaving the P12 either. I'm sure there's a commitment from all to try and make it work to keep the conference together.

Every day it looks more and more like the implosion of the BE. They all wanted to stay together, until someone got antsy. Then others. Then the exodus, with the most loyal school left in the lurch without a good home for a decade. Who's going to get left behind in the Pac? Right now my money is on Utah, but you could convince me that it will be Stanford.
"There is a lot of nonsense out there about the Pac-12, but our future is bright. All 10 schools are unified and together. We should have a deal in place soon and then the speculation will finally be put to rest."
CU, UA, ASU and Utah:
"Not sure what's with all the talk about leaving for the Big XII. We are extremely committed to the Pac-12 — just like we always have been. We expect George to bring us a great deal — we just need to see the numbers."
