I like the Indiana game, and the San Jose games, but not too excited about Lindenwood and Long Island games. I would much rather see James Madison or Delaware who would be a bit more challenging and add to our reputation if we are able to win against that kind of competition.

That's a bit of an understatement. In last year's Sagarins, JMU was #60 and Delaware was number #149, compared to Lindenwood at #216 and LIU at #242. There's a massive difference between playing the top team in the SBC East and playing a bottom 25 FCS program.

Hope to play EMU and some of the other MAC programs at some point. We have a home and home scheduled with Miami and we have Ball State coming for a guarantee game, but hope to include some more MAC schools in our G5 rotation. I like the idea of fairly regional opponents.

Dear dansplaining,
This is the kind of scheduling I mentioned earlier, to strengthen the schedule. Glad to see it.

Don't put UM on that high of a pedestal. EMU could hang with them. Not saying EMU would win, but they would compete. It would be great to have the opportunity for a legendary win while taking probably $1.5M from their bank account.

I love CC, but with NIL etc , but in terms of talent and depth, the top 10 schools will further separate themselves from G5. WMU got annihilated by Harbaugh last season.

Truth!

I love watching Chase Kline and Samson Evans play for us, but let's be honest, they did not get the playing time in the P5 they wanted and that is why they are here.

Had Maxx had the same situation with the portal and NIL, there would have been ZERO logic for him to spend his final year in the NCAA in Ypsilanti.

I love watching MAC football, it is far more entertaining than the XFL and USFL due to the preparation time of the offenses. That being said, today a young MAC "horse" is going to look to the P5 for better opportunities. The chasm between the P5 and the G5 is only going to widen. It is what it is, I will still love watching the MAC play football and ESPN will still write checks for the conference to play those stupid weeknight games in cold weather.
