opens up a roster spot for sure. Des had some good snaps for them down the stretch and should have more of a chance in the dline rotation, if healthy.

I wondered why no activities or even rumors regarding new team for Kareen Hunt...now I understand why..

"Sports surgeon: Kareem Hunt ‘has a really good chance to get back’" (Feb 6th)
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Running back Kareem Hunt should be able to make a full recovery from adductor surgery, a leading sports surgeon told 19 News.

Looks like former Rocket WRs Isaiah Winstead and Matt Landers are both playing the UFL which started play today. Winstead scored the 1st TD ever for the new league catching a 51 yard TD pass for the Arlington Renegades.

Looks like Terrance Taylor got an invite to the Lion's "local day" on April 9th, where they can check out local players.

I'm not up to date on the rules, but up to 30 prospects who are non-local can be flown in, but an unlimited number of local prospects can attend - I think.

Unfortunately T Taylor is a tweener. He’s the size of a OLB in NFL but played edge at Toledo so I don’t know how he plays in space. He was hampered by injury at UT and could have been a great player as it was he was a VERY good player at UT. I wish him great luck. It must be tough putting pads on last time. Football is tough that way.

2024 NFL Draft Prospect Report: Toledo Rockets
https://www.hustlebelt.com/2024/4/1/2411...s-mitchell

Article has measured data from the pro day and RAS scores for all the Rocket hopefuls this year. At least one source has Gant as a potential 7th round pick. Mitchell's RAS is incredible at 9.8, Wow.

Taylor can add some size and keep his quickness, he could see NFL spot available. The injuries will need to be over with and fully recovered.

Nice effort by the young writers at HustleBelt - good job. Glad to see this site still going.

Somehow I had missed this, but apparently the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Bryce Mitchell last last year.

Some UFL football on right now ABC, they just showcased Bruce Gradkowski celebrating a big TD in the booth, as he's the offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Battlehawks. QB AJ McCarron (Alabama) also gave Bruce a big shoutout during his sideline interview after the score.

Running back Bryant Koback, who spent last season on Seattle's practice squad, was placed on the reserve/retired list.

Can't fault the guy for trying. We did win a championship without him, but maybe should have stayed another year to solidify his draft status. Sadly, probably just shy of Rocket Legend status, not playing his senior year. Same with Page. What one more year could have done for both of then.

Koback played 4 full seasons at UT, plus his redshirt year at UK. Could have stayed for a 6th year, but it would not have put anything more on film than he had already shown, and would have risked getting injured and blowing any chance at the NFL.

Cincinnati signs Logan Woodside.

I also notice that Nate Givhan has apparently retired from football - was on the Winnipeg roster.

Is Koback retiring due to injury? Does anyone know what the reserve/retired designation really means?

its used when a player retires while still under contract to team-that way the team still controls rights to player-until the contract ends (meaning if healthy and looking to return league he would not be FA at this time)
