That Temple game is going to really be a thorn in our side overall.
How in the hell did this team lose to Temple and NKU...
This team has to score to win. Off shooting nights most likely hanging an L on this group.
That feels right. The only memory I have from both games is a prolonged 2nd half scoring drought where I said "we can't hit **** right now"

Agreed and what bodes well is the improvement of individual players and a collective commitment to move the ball unselfishly. When one player tries to play hero ball, it disrupts the entire team. I'm not naming names.

Temple isn't a bad team. Just really inconsistent. It's the kind of game good teams lose on the road all the time.
The NKU game was a disaster, no doubt.
Agree. Temple is also tied with us at 5-2 in the conference [along with Tulane].
5-2s are not created equal...their two losses are to Tulane and Memphis and they've already played ECU twice (winning by 2 points in the Greenville Morgue and 13 points in their Morgue), Tulsa, and USF winning both of those games by only 4 points. They are better than the abject disasters and that's about it.

They have 4 kenpom top 100 wins, including one over kenpom 16 on a neutral floor. They are inconsistent, but have some talented players. They have two egregiously bad losses that are dragging them (home losses to kenpom 288 and kenpom 300), but otherwise have a pretty respectable body of work.
Look we should beat them, but it's the kind of game you can lose on the road and good teams do lose on the road on a fairly regular basis (For example Xavier loss to a similarly profiled Depaul team last night at Depaul).

USF, standing above you right now is like standing behind the trash can after it's been whisked away. It's not worth my time. But I hope the other basketball teams were watching closely. Because if they did, they know what's coming. A storm. A storm that you can prepare for but will ultimately be helpless against. The Bearcats are the storm, and they're going to blow through every team in the country!

Again, I agree with Mark. I never said Temple was a juggernaut. Temple is one of those teams that are better than their record says they are. Temple beat a previously ranked Villanova, beat a pretty decent Rutgers squad and had a two point loss in overtime to Vandy. What remains our best win Bryant or Tulane? That said, losing on the road to a conference foe that we typically have rock fights with is not a bad thing compared to the loss at NKU. That one was inexcusable.

I see that Tom has finally resurfaced after his sojourn to Dallas for the SMU game... Did they finally have to release you after 72 hours?
In any case, welcome back.

Tom only travels by train, so it takes awhile ~35 hours. Duane is still working his way back, he only travels by bike.
