RE: Florida Atlantic ranked #24
Congrats, well earned with the season you've been having. I wasn't incredibly thrilled with the FAU addition, but if you can keep putting together basketball seasons like this, you'll be a worthy addition regardless of what you do in football
Question for FAU fans. What do you think of Jalen Gaffney thus far? I haven't seen any of your games and it is tough to get a true read on a player from box scores.

It's really just one guy who is bitter on anything dealing with the 6 teams coming from cusa this summer. He's clearly pretty miserable as a person.

Personal attacks are the last refuge of those unable to assert their position any other way.
The reality is FAU’s ranking means nothing this season to the AAC.
You only bring it up to preen and boast. It is disingenuous- to put it mildly - to believe otherwise.
It's actually just an accurate representation of you as a person. You've been nothing but negative towards the 6 cusa teams. Well they are all coming. You gotta learn to deal with it
If you don't like the thread, post elsewhere on the forum. I maintain that you are a miserable old fart and are a troll. Again , it sucks to be this miserable and I pity you

Have you read the AUP concerning personal attacks? It follows: "Any personal attack on other posters, school administration, and/or student athletes is subject to immediate removal without notice at the discretion of mods and admins."
I refuse to descend into the gutter so flame away.
I will be happy to discuss with you or any other CUSA6 member their future contributions to the AAC (e.g., coaching changes, facility improvements, recruiting, transfers, etc).
However, I will not sit idle with posts strutting and crowing about a school not presently in the AAC. Get use to it.

Trolling also leads to a ban Mr Hall monitor. You've been doing it in any thread involving the teams coming to the aac this summer. We aren't going anywhere.
You were already slapped down by the smu mod when you tried to dismiss us. So get used to it. We were told we are a part of this forum now as we are coming in. So yes you are trolling when you immediately try to talk about Charleston and such and being an overall nuisance
You are one of those internet bully types covering up for your short comings in the real world. It wont fly here. You come at me and I'll come right back at you

Of all the posts in this thread responding the way you approve, how many are from future AAC member schools currently in the AAC? What does the answer tell you about the level of interest among your future conference mates for your thread?
I just created a thread about FB and BB recruits and transfers for the new AAC. I welcome your input.

The answer is one. One post from a Tulane backer. You wrote "It's (the thread) of interest to some who aren't miserable". Clearly, there are multitudes who are not interested, but they must all be miserable.
Again, I hope you comment in the thread I mentioned.

How many are trolling the thread besides you ? Answer is zero! That should tell you maybe grow up and avoid the thread if you don't like it.
Current AAC teams leaving and future AAC teams coming in are part of this board. If you don't like it, just don't post. You just look childish being a hall monitor
Ps:. If you want interaction in your threads by people, probably best not to be a troll and nuisance towards their school first. Much like in the real world, I don't like to interact with miserable people who start stuff.

The majority of your posts harp on my comments and associated heaping of pejoratives. Do you intent to continue with the stream of invectives?
As it stands, you are more interested in my posts than commenting about the future of your FB and BB programs in the new AAC.
I extend the hand of friendship through discussion of the common goal of building the new AAC into the best G5. It is one of the reasons I made the new threads. I hope you participate, but it is your choice.

Moving on. Good win over Western Kentucky on the road last night. Was a little worried the hype of being ranked would lead to being complacent. I saw the same fight and battling team so that was a good sign. I'll enjoy the season rather than worrying about the future. Would be pretty awful to not be a person that can enjoy the moment

Yup, equally as important as getting ranked is winning the next game afterwards. Nothing takes you out of the rankings quicker than that. Congrats!

COC reminds me of Murray St last season. Some pundits said they had to win their conference tournament to ensure NCAA Tournament entry despite their unblemished conference record.
That's a fair comparison but I agree with those "pundits."
After winning their neutral site conference tourney, the Racer's NET was 29th and they were assigned a 7th seed. I do not think a loss in the conference tourney would have knocked them out of the NCAA Tourney (where they won their first game). All the top 39 NET ranked eligible teams earned an NCAA bid and 41 of the top 43 NET ranked teams also made it.

Question for FAU fans. What do you think of Jalen Gaffney thus far? I haven't seen any of your games and it is tough to get a true read on a player from box scores.
Regarding football, this will continue to be our most competitive program. We have spent over 175M in facilities recently and with the increase in exposure and funding with the move I am confident we will be competing for the top on a regular basis after we settle in. In 22 years of playing football, we made it to the FCS semi finals faster than any program, won the SBC Conference once and CUSA twice. We will be fine. Not sure if you were taking a little shot but it's kind of funny coming from a UConn poster and congrats on last year, seems like things have finally turned around.
In regards to Gaffney, he's been solid, did not have a great game against WKY but he's a starter on a ranked team that has depth in the position. I have to believe that he is happy with his move at this point.
