First time in our history being ranked. Exciting times for Florida Atlantic basketball. Go Owls!!!

In other non-conference ranking news, Charleston moved up four spots. They have only one defeat this season. They are ranked 50th in NET.
That's great. This thread is about a team coming into the aac this summer. It's of interest to some who aren't miserable

The American Owl Conference is looking to start on the right foot.
I knew FAU was developing a good program when y’all beat us a couple years ago. Now you guys just have to do something about those atrocious facilities.

This thread is about ranking updates on schools outside the AAC. Rankings of non-AAC schools have absolutely no impact on the AAC this year other than pushing AAC schools out.

However, the C of C story is certainly interesting and I look forward to possibly exploring their team in this thread.

Why not mention how Temple now has a top 25 win, pulling them even with Memphis and Houston for most in the conference?

True it is needed. But hey this is a good start . Never thought I'd see us ranked in basketball so I'm thrilled

It's time for us to start spending some of that Boca money on fundamental upgrades, not just cosmetics.

I always thought we'd be ranked in football (during the regular season) before we are ranked in basketball. But I'll take it! Hopefully we get to stay there for more than a week.
Quite a season for the Owls. Congrats and keep it going!

What are the plans to improve facilities? How will FAU sustain the success seen to date this season into next season?

Over the last 10 or so years, FAU has invested more than $100M in athletics, so I do not see the problem with funding. The problem we did have for the longest time is that basketball had always been an afterthought. It can no longer be ignored, obviously. And then, we'll make Boca money do the talking.

Thanks for the relevant information. Is the contributing composition of FAU’s squad returning next season (absent the portal)? What is FAU’s recruiting class for next season?

I am not sure what the first question is asking. I am assuming you're asking how many of the top FAU players are returning. I think the most important player, the big 7-1 Russian center, Goldin, is returning. He is a sophomore, so, absent the portal, he should still be here come next year. Whenever he's on the court, he is effective. Still struggles with fouls (sometimes - silly fouls, like in the last game). High scoring guard, Johnell Davis, is returning (he is, I believe, a sophomore, as well. Greenlee, Martin, Boyd are all returning, as well. I think, the only notable player not returning, is the sixth man, Michael Forrest. He is a senior and I don't know about his eligibility.

I do not know much about the recruiting class for the next season.

You answered my question, thank you. Of course, the portal for good or ill could change roster’s significantly for almost all teams.

How is the recruiting class shaping up?

I am not in the know on the basketball recruiting. Sorry.
