This is the key. If we can somehow limit outgoing transfers, this team could be good next year. Otherwise, it's same old story. You can see with this squad it just took too long for them to figure it out, and we can't keep reloading the roster every year and starting at square one.

Here's hoping for a sea change with us and transfers.

I agree. It took the whole season to find the chemistry and pieces. We return almost everyone except TSG and Stanley. They’re both tough losses but not irreplaceable. Give me a big bruiser who can finish around the rim and a athletic wing to go along with the PG and we could seriously be pretty decent next season. Imo, Long, Jenkins, Fields and Williams is a darn good core to build around. If Smith and Stines keep improving and Wade gets healthier I like it.

I have bitched all season about needing a BIG man! Well, I was wrong. Fields and Williams are filling the void admirably! So much improved since the beginning of the year. Love being wrong!!!

I could have sworn I saw them talking afterward but there was a lot going on and I was still celebrating so maybe I imagined it.

Pounds looks really athletic. Like a stretch 4 type. This current team could still really use another big especially since Stanley is out. Joe Reece or Kalu Ezikpe would have been nice… but whatever. Williams and Fields are battling for sure. Nobody would accuse them of being soft. Haha. Long is helping to make up for the lack of size down low as well. Those 3 desperately need to stay out of foul trouble if they have hope to do anything at the tournament
