If he went to USF and managed to win he was not going to get a better job. So might as well get his foot in the P5 door now.

Of course he would. If he turned USF around he would get the next SEC, B12, ACC gig that came available. He will get the same opportunity if he turns Colorado around. The point is, that is probably a more difficult turnaround in reality.

I think it's a bad fit. But he was obviously tired of butting his head against walls for resources and exposure. That would continue at USF. I believe he really wanted that USF gig, but they couldn't come up with the money to expedite the new stadium and pay his staff what he wants to pay them.

I don’t know. If a consistent winner can be built in Boise Idaho, Boulder Colorado seems a tad easier. Lest we forget, the Buffs were voted a share of the national championship in the modern era.

Funny you made that comparison. Ever heard of Dan Hawkins ?

So now that Alanda has explained what you meant, that old saying from financial advisors comes to mind. Past performance does not predict future success, or something like that. This still means nothing regarding how successful the next coach can be.

Let's not forget they are 47-95 since they joined the PAC12.

Lest we forget the Tigers were pretty bad for awhile before Fuente was hired. Things can change. Did you not think the Tigers could improve with right hire? Or is it just that you think Colorado is cursed to never be good again?

You said it was easier to build a winner at Colorado. You said you had heard of Hawkins but don't follow coaching records. You cited a season they had 33 years ago as proof that they can be good.

Interesting strategy of being completely clueless about a subject when you post about it.

Very true. At any time a Pinto can beat a Ferrari, or something like that. 04-drinky

Ok. I said seems that it would be. I don’t speak in absolutes. Apparently it’s your way or the highway.

You must have been a bully as a child. You seem to like to pick fights for no reason. I don’t have time for the likes of you.

I see that you’re a cup half empty type. You will be manually ignored moving forward.

Yep. I’ve heard of him. Can you elaborate?

He dominated at Boise State, got hired by Colorado, and stunk it up there. 53-11 at BSU then 19-39 at Colorado. I knew he did bad at Colorado, but didn't know the records. I had to look those up.

Thanks for explaining. I had no idea the point the previous poster was trying to make.

Yeah, it seems the failure of the statements in the OP were the exact reason they could NOT hire Deion.

To my understanding they really hadn’t left contractually. It makes sense geographically and rivalry wise. JSU will not be turned away by the classic organizers.

JSU attorney sent legal notice of their intent to cancel the contract.
Welp I was wrong. Fred Jones skipped right on over to another participant. I’m sure JSU will want to come back in the future.
