The SMU game was a microcosm of the entire season. Get an really lead on teams with the same or lesser talent, then the other team adjusts and we lose it late. We could have easily been 10-2, 9-3 at worst. But lack of NIL funding caused us to play bad in the 4th quarter

What does lack of NIL funding have to do with playing badly in 4th quarter? If lack of NIL funding has anything to do with playing poorly, wouldn’t the team play poorly from the opening whistle?
