His offense sucked. He was a Fulmer guy. They finally got Fulmer out of there and hired an offensive coach. Now if they could just keep the middle linebacker from beating up their QB

It's old news. But yeah. UTK turning on him as a scapegoat. Likely to try to minimize the severance buyout.

Tennessee got nailed during the Fulmer years too.
Their recruiting took a hit after they were no longer allowed to invite only star players to football camps they were hosting or some such.
They received minor slap on hands penalties tho. But it did eventually hurt recruiting enough that it became a problem as a whole for the school.
Lack of talent ended up being the nails in Coach Fulmer's football regime.
