The game is some midweek MACtion this Wednesday at 6pm on ESPN2. Flashes are 4-6 and need to win out to become bowl eligible. The next 2 games (EMU & Buffalo) won’t be easy but if they play like they did last week it’s very possible. We need that defensive push we got up from last week and some healthy weapons back on offense.

A lot of schools got screwed with this. Well, I think all did actually. Buffalo will have senior night next week on a weeknight. Also, just as bad, Toledo/BG rivalry is on a Wednesday night. If letting people into your conference championship basketball game wasn't cheapening the product enough, this is an all-time low.

Not to get ahead, but Buffalo is getting 19 inches of snow (might want to start planning possible alternative) for last week of season and avoid 2015ish cancellation

EMUs QB out on the 2nd play. The backup threw more passes this season but is no running threat while the starter is better with the feet than his arm. So at least if he remains out they’re lacking that dual threat making it easier to defend.

Schlee doing a good job of drawing the defense offside and then going deep knowing there’s a flag down. Beat them deep for a TD the first time and then again on a deep ball. Seems cold there with a heavy wind which will affect the kicking game.

Schlee looking sharp commanding the offense tonight, up 17-7 with 7:50 left in the first half.

Stuuuuupid! Why on earth would you try and field that punt on a short hop? Nothing like gifting them the ball and flipping the field 45 yards.

That muff was a massive play in this game. We were looking at having the ball, up 10, with the ball after half. We could've potentially been up 24 the next time EMU touched the ball.

Defense is hitting hard tonight, nice stuff on 3rd and 4th down there to avert disaster after that muffed punt.

Wow defense saves the punt returner. This defense has been playing exceptionally well the last few weeks.

Dodged a game changing bullet there. Great stop to bail out special teams.

And down goes Schlee with what might be a head issue after getting bounced a few times. Hopefully he’s ok.

Not sure why we burned timeouts to get the ball back with Kargman out there. Awful series and now giving them the ball right back with time on the clock.

Yeah I don’t understand that, the coaches should be well aware of such status coming into the game and use only in case of emergency. Do we not have a 3rd stringer that could’ve taken a snap and handed off, got to halftime and hope Schlee was able to get back out there?

And Kargman back out there, first play is a horrible RPO that he should’ve kept, instead we lose 6, followed up by getting sacked and losing another 9 on a play he should’ve gotten rid of. We might go up by 10 but with no Schlee and Leach the rest of the way I don’t like our chances. The D will have to keep getting stops and offense will need to do more than 3 and out.

How do you let a guy get that wide open? And apparently we’re now down Bolden and Blue back there, Bolden has been our leading tackler this year so that’s a big loss.

Getting hard to watch this one knowing it’s slipping away. They lost the starting QB and were forced to go to the backup who is their captain and was the starter, and whose style plays into what they need tonight given our lead and shutting down the run game. We lose our starter and everything falls apart. We can’t even get a handoff to the RB and pound out the running game because we’re now 1-dimensional with a slow, methodical and robotic presence back there trying to command this O.
