Rice actually has more kills than WKU, 11-8. But because all the attack errors/blocks and other errors, Rice is getting destroyed. WKU still with no attack errors.

WKU with 4 blocks already and counting. As usual, we have none.

Exact same start as last week's match against WKU.

17-22 as Rice showing a little life, but probably too little, too late the salvage this set.

22-24 another 4-0 run forces a WKU timeout. Over half of WKU's points this set have come on Rice errors. Our backline defense has actually played very well.

Five consecutive set points fought off for Rice. 22-24. May be finding something here at the end of the first set.

22-24. TO WKU. Owls have fought off 4 consecutive set points. Glad the Owls finally showed up.

Unfortunately too late. WKU takes 1s set 25-22.

Matthews ends it 22-25 At least we showed life at the end. We out killed them 18-11 and out dug them 27-15; we simply need to clean up our errors....and have the backline defense continue to play at this high level.

Spoke too soon as Matthews soars to spike it off of a Rice block. 25-22 WKU in the first set. Hopefully the good Rice play at the end of the set will carry over.

Attack error to start the 2nd, grrr.

Starting off 2nd set same as first-- 2 attack errors in our first 3 attempts. Ugh

That's what happens when you get intimidated by their blocking ability. At least Adekunle is staying aggressive this time round.

10-7 on Rawley service ace. WKU's offense is even more unbalanced than usual-- Briggs and Matthews have 40 of their 60 attacks.

15-11 media timeout Our mids (Adekunle, Kostelecky) have half our kills on less than one-third the attack opportunities. We need to feed them more, just like WKU feeds Matthews.
