Home Cajuns are tougher than road Cajuns, so I expect this to be a good one from start to finish.

If I had to guess, the Cajuns will come in as a one point favorite. Big difference between how they play on the road vs how they play at home. They look like last year's Cajuns at home, and Ricky Bustle Cajuns on the road, or ghost peppers and bell peppers, if you prefer that instead.

EDIT: Troy opens as a 3 point favorite. I keep forgetting that the models are already accounting for home field advantage. Need to bring our A game to win.

Louisiana is hungry and playing a little bit better as of late. Troy, OTH, is red hot and with a week's rest will be ready and this should be close for a while.

At this point Louisiana is paying for Bowl eligibility with a championship basically out of the question now. A win and they will likely get bowling a loss and they could still be bowling but the window will be very tight with FSU Ga Southern and Texas state left. They need 2 from Troy, GS, FSU and Texas state to be bowling.

It just depends what Louisiana team shows up. We are 4-4 for a reason. I do expect better play than the first half of last week but I’m not ready to make a score prediction.

Spread has moved to Troy -6. Money line for Troy is -220. Vegas implied odds for a Trojan win are around 68%. Both teams have been good against the spread this year.

There is some anticipation Troy will get back some defensive players that have been injured the past few games.

No doubt this will be the healthiest Troy has been since the Ole Miss game, so there shouldn't be any excuses in that regard unless we had someone get injured in practice.

I watched the ULL vs USM game. That was sloppy football. ULL does have a good receiving corps. I hope TMTDM can pressure Wooldridge enough to reduce the effects of that receiving corps.
I think we all know that Troy is 95% defense and 5% offense. This could be a real problem.
Other than that... both teams are playing for something which will make it a good game.
I can't make it to the game as it is TBBjr's birthday. Tailgating at ULL is on my bucket list.

Not that Troy has a good offense, because we don't, but I'll be glad when we don't have to face juggernauts on defense every single week.

Obviously, So Miss is pulling for the Cajun's.

I'm really nervous about this game. While we've been red hot, and should be rested, my big fear is that we come out flat after the bye week. That mixed with the Cajuns defensive stats and playing at their place...well...it's like others said, we have to bring our A game. Especially our offense.

Here's an interesting thought. We have a few guys who were freshmen on the Troy roster in Mark Hudspeth's final year with the Cajuns. That year was 2017, arguably Troy's best year ever. Unfortunately, Troy's round robin excluded Louisiana from conference play in 2016 and 2017. Would have been a neat story line to have had some guys who had played against a Hudspeth coached Louisiana team.

On a related note, we do have the Cajuns' strength coach from that regime. Rusty Whitt has served us very well, even in Chip's tenure. We are a true four quarters team thanks to him.

Louisiana is playing better? Woolridge looks lost to me. He makes some great throws, then he just melts. The swag is also gone. No one seems excited to be there. Seems they have a cULture problem.

The problem is not Ben. I question some play calling and the OL more than anything. Oddly enough, the swag has been better these last few weeks. It was awful the first half of the season.
