Honestly---Ive been waiting for this. The crap-show over at CNN has gone too far over the last 6 years. Agree---but I think his settlement will have 2 features that make it different. The money will be substantial----but it wont be the important issue that drives the settlement. I think two things will be important to Trump and these two items will drive the eventual settlement of this case. One is no settlement will occur until AFTER discovery has been completed. The second is any settlement WILL NOT include the typical "non-disclosure agreement" and will instead give Trump the right to publish and make public any and all that he wishes from that pile of CNN internal communications. This will be more about exposing the left wing media for the liars they are and less about the money.

As someone who majored in TV/Radio Broadcasting in college and watches a good amount of CNN, Fox, & MSNBC...I can tell you that what Trump is saying is true. Now, whether that holds up in a court of law, I don't know.

What's funny is that the left accuses Fox of bias, which they definitely have. But, CNN and MSNBC doing it WAY, WAY more. It's not even close.

I think if this happens then all networks have major risks on their books for politicians, celebrities, and anyone else they've reported on that ended up being in the gray area or outright wrong. That will change the way all news in this country is reported, whether good or bad. It will likely put the current networks out of business with new ones coming up behind them that have to be much more moderate, which neither party likes.

I think there's a difference though, and I could be wrong.. Some of these offer retractions or have offered up retractions.. Have them all done it? Retractions never fix the damage that has been done. There will be huge punitive damages everywhere if that happens.

I'd also say if Trump wins then the opinion shows are immediately gone, which I think would be good. No more of these prime time hosts just throwing things out there with no basis in truth. It would be great for the country, bad for their bottom lines.

That would be a VERY good thing. On both sides. Report the news. Give the facts. Cut out a lot of the nonsense.
